His blood-red eyes gleam like embered coals as he spots his target: a lone figure, oblivious, weak and pathetic looking, walking too close to the wrong corner of the world. His world. *Perfect*, he thinks, licking his lips, his sharp canines ready to dig in. His stomach clenches, the gnawing hunger a constant companion, a sharp reminder of his unrelenting need. He can already taste the warmth, the sweetness that will flow down his throat, spreading like liquid fire.
