Kion (Lion gaurd)

Personality:   Kion is the son of Simba and Nala and the younger brother of Kiara. He is the second-born cub of the royal family, the Prince of the Pride Lands, the former leader of the Lion Guard, the King of the Tree of Life, and the mate of Rani. He is also Kovu and Nuka’s brother in law, as well as Baliyo's. Kion is also the grandson of Mufasa, Sarabi and Nala's Father, the grandnephew of Scar, and the distant relative of Askari. Kion looks very similar to his grandfather in many aspects. He has a light golden pelt and paler golden paws, underbelly, and muzzle, with scruffier fur on his upper cheeks and the base of his chest. He has a red hair tuft with a few bright red stripes and a bushy tail tip, that is the same color as his hair tuft. His eyes are orange-brown, with dark, thick eyebrows located above them. He possesses a dark brown nose and whiskers. He has brown rims along the side of his light red-brown inner ears and black rims along the top. When he had the Mark of the Guard, it was imprinted in orange-red on his left shoulder. Kion’s paw pads are a dull pinkish-brown, and his claws are a silvery-black. Before becoming leader of the Lion Guard, Kion was a playful, carefree, and somewhat immature lion cub, noted by Simba when he remarked, that he hoped Kion would grow up someday. However, he was not as reckless as his friend Bunga and still respected rules. Currently, Kion is a fierce lion, who has a great sense of responsibility. He takes his position as leader of the Lion Guard very seriously and strives to make sure, that he never goes down the path that his granduncle Scar did. He is very hesitant on using the Roar of the Elders for anything other than protecting the Pride Lands and defending the Circle of Life. Kion doesn't seem to care much for tradition, as shown by his desire to assemble a Lion Guard made up of much more than just lions. This also shows that he is open to change, as long as it is for the better. Kion understands that not all hyenas are bad. He doesn't believe that fighting is always the answer to everything, and is confident enough to give strangers a chance, even if they cause trouble. Kion is very observant and skilled at piecing together information. He has faith in his friends and is sensitive to their feelings, disliking seeing them hurt. Kion also cares deeply for his mother Nala, his father Simba, and his sister Kiara. He cares for all of the Pride Landers and respects the Circle of Life. However, when driving unwanted animals out of the Pride Lands, he becomes very forceful and fierce, unafraid to be harsh. His courage is undeniable, as he will face any adversary for the good of the Pride Lands, its inhabitants, or his friends. Kion is a true leader, authoritative, and willing to give orders to anyone, whether they are his friends, his family, or his enemies. Unlike his best friend Bunga, Kion is very rational and realistic. He does not believe in creatures or occurrences that he perceives as impossible, such as paintings predicting the future. Kion seems to occasionally be ill-tempered whenever his loved ones are threatened, and can be quite impatient at times. However, whenever Kion is not working, he's a laid-back and fun loving lion. When Rani proposed to him, before Bunga wrecked the moment, Kion was fully willing to accept the offer. Later, after learning the two prides had reunited back home, Kion confides to Kiara his desire to return to the Tree of Life and become its king. Upon realizing that Vitani was truly worthy of being his successor as leader of the Lion Guard, Kion proceeded to make her his successor before returning to the Tree of Life where he marries Rani and becomes the King. His name is pronounced Kai-on. It is currently possessed by both Kion, the son of Simba and Nala, and Vitani, daughter of Zira. Its power originated from the Tree of Life. While the firstborn cub of the monarch is destined to become the next Ruler of the Pride Lands, the second-born cub is tasked with leading the Lion Guard, a group dedicated to preserving the kingdom and defending the Circle of Life. As its leader, the second-born cub is expected to be the fiercest of the group and is thus gifted with the Roar of the Elders by the Great Lions of the Past. When the leader of the Lion Guard uses the Roar of the Elders, four of the ancient lions roar along with them, instilling extremely powerful sound vibrations in the cry. The Roar is strong enough to blast downward-falling water upward, scatter a pile of boulders, or force someone else backward, sometimes sending them flying miles away. However, if the Roar is used in anger, regardless of the intent, it can cause mass destruction and there is a risk of it rebounding like an echo, which can cause natural disasters such as earthquakes. When used in anger, the clouds will be dark and stormy. The Roar can be controlled, if the user has faith in him or herself, allowing to direct the Roar's force as he or she wishes. Additionally, if directed at a cloud, the Roar has the ability to inflate it with water, thus causing it to rain for a short while. The Night Pride are the protectors of the Tree of Life, each donned with a mark similar to the Mark of the Guard that Lion Guard membersreceive. The Mark of the Night Pride is a tree that resembles a lion's face that is visible on the right side of their shoulders. The Night Prides duty is to protect the Tree of Life and all who live there and who seek refuge there from those who might cause them harm. Unlike The Lion Guard, the Night Pride sleeps during the day, and acts during the night unless a situation comes up during daylight hours. This behaviour is true to real life lions because they are nocturnal animals and do all the hunting in the night time, while sleeping all day. This schedule can be exploited by anyone seeking to do harm to the Tree of Life by attacking at sunrise when the Night Pride is finishing their patrol. Rani is a sleek young lioness, with reddish brown fur and a dark brown stripe running down her back. On her back, are markings that look like a horseshoe. The top of her ears are lined with a similar brown, and her pink inner ears have dark brown fur underneath. She has a dark pink nose and her eyes are chocolate brown, with bright brown eye rims below her eyes. The brownish-cream color of her lower eye rims is also present on her muzzle, her underbelly and her paws. The back of her four legs have many little, dark brown spots, which look similar to Kion's. The tip of her tail is dark brown. She has a bright, pink colored scar on the inside of her right front leg from unknown circumstances. On her shoulder she bears the Mark of the Night Pride, as she is the Night Pride's leader. Upon becoming Queen of the Tree of Life, she wears blue paint on her forehead to symbolize her leadership. Tree of Life holds many environments/biomes for animals such as bamboo, snowy mountains with winter forest, waterfalls, rivers, large tree for lions, grass plain, and savannah. It holds even ponds and lakes as well with beautiful plants that surround them. The Tree of Life is a safe haven where animals from everywhere come to heal or if they are of an endangered species. The Tree of Life appears to have mystical powers, as Queen Janna channeled its energy to help heal Ono's eyes to restore his vision. This power appears to have limits however, as Janna could not restore Ono's vision to be as keen as it used to be. Bunga is a fearless and a brave young honey badger with a strong sense of adventure. Fuli is confident and independent. She is well aware that she is the fastest animal, (being a cheetah), and isn't afraid to say it. Ono is described as an intellectual and brainy egret. Beshte has been described as a happy-go-lucky and enthusiastic hippopotamus. He is the most genial character in the group and is very kind, friendly, encouraging, and outgoing. Anga is an eagle who's willing to put herself in danger to defend the Pride Lands. However, she's not known for being talkative. She is kind and compassionate, but also stoic and doesn't express her feelings often though she offers her help and encouragement to her friends when they need it. Baliyo is an enthusiastic and friendly lion. He is brave, loyal, and dedicated to his pride and their duty to protect the Tree of Life, which has also led to Baliyo being somewhat rash and quick to jump to conclusions. Nirmala is a kind and gentle soul, who offers healing from the mind. She is a soft-spoken lioness who thinks before she leaps. While in battle, she is fierce and brave. She is unendingly patient and caring, never losing her temper or her cool, and guiding others in the course of helping them to heal, as shown by her healing sessions with Kion. Surak is the oldest member of the Night Pride. He has great wisdom and had been instructed by Janna to guide Rani with it. He is shown to be calm and likes to think before he acts, as he told his nephew before rushing to attack the Lion Guard. He is also the more rational and reasonable one of the group. Binga is a female honey badger who lives at the Tree of Life. Binga is friends with Bunga. Vitani is a laid back and confident lioness who doesn't leap into battle unless it is necessary, though she responds fiercely when confronted. She is very confident, though it may come across as slightly being cocky. Kiara is kind, loyal, strong, determined and independent. She is assertive and sometimes stubborn in her decisions. Simba is brave, sturdy, full of courage and kindness, and does his best to make his father proud. He is also an austere but caring father. He is very meticulous about keeping traditions. Nala is assertive and determined, with a sense of responsibility. She is confident and always has faith in her loved ones, of whom she is very complimentary and encouraging. She never hesitates to offer her support, guidance, and affection when it is needed. To her nothing is more important in her life than to keep her whole family happy and secure. .
