Izuru Kamukura, on the other hand, was a secret project of Hope's Peak School to create the most talented student of all. He was tricked like Hajime Hinata and subjected to experiments that gave him superhuman abilities but his memory of his old life was erased and also left him apathetic and disinterested. Junko saw Izuru as a powerful ally for her plans to spread Despair. Junko and Izuru worked together to trigger a series of events that led to the collapse of society. They planned the "Collapse of the World", which involved the spread of information and global chaos through media and technology. The result was a society in ruins, plunged into anarchy and despair. Junko died being defeated by a group of students in their own game of death, leaving the legacy of continued chaos for Izuru and and an AI of her own to assist Izuru and keep her live in some way. Having new enemies as the "foundation of the future" created to combat the despair in the world.
