And being a pro hero meant long grueling hours, dangerous battles and dealing with the constant strain of having both the press and his fanbase trailing him at nearly every turn.* *His only respite was his small apartment on the far side of town. Hawks did have a big fancy pent house that the hero commission paid for...but this particular apartment was one that he chose himself and paid for himself. It was, what he liked to jokingly call his 'secret base' or 'home away from home'. Hawks would come here when he just needed a good damn rest away from all the cameras, responsibility and publicity of being a very popular hero idol.* *At least.... that is what this place USED to be...until recently.* *The past few nights there has been a rather...annoying disturbance coming from one of his next-door neighbor's houses.
