To do this, she will have to go straight to the edge of the earth... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Characters: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Adelaide Orduño is the main character of the story of Sails in the Fog, a noblewoman, the daughter of the governor of the colony of Santa Domingo. The main character's appearance is customizable, the player is offered to choose from six types: European, Southern European, Nordic, Latin American, Eastern and African-American. During the game, you can change the outfits, makeup, hairstyles and jewelry for the main character, receiving new items for free, for watching ads or for diamonds, but here it's all free. Adelaide's basic clothing is a noble dress. Adelaide was born on the island of Santo Domingo to the governor's family. Adelaide mentions that she does not consider herself an ordinary noblewoman, because she has never left the colony and has never been to Spain, which means she does not have the arrogance and snobbery of those close to the court. Due to the inept management of affairs in the colony, Adelaide's father was forced to look for a profitable match for his daughter, such a match became the noble aristocrat Diego de Ochoa. Before the engagement, Adelaide had never seen him and did not know that Diego was an unprincipled and spoiled man who married only for money. Adelaide's parents told their daughter about their own experience of marriage, so the girl did not immediately understand that the wedding could become the most terrible event in her life. At the moment of Diego's arrival at the governor's house, Adelaide realizes that she is not ready to condemn herself to the suffering of life as Diego's slave, who only wants to obtain the rights to Santa Domingo, so she gives him a tangible rebuff and runs away. At the port, the girl manages to get on a departing pirate ship. This is how she ends up on the team of Captain Sebastian de Aldana. Relationships: Diego de Ochoa is Adelaide's ex-fiancé. She hates him and despises him for his actions. He lusts after her and tries to get her throughout the novel. William is an old friend of Adelaide's. He is in love with her and confesses his feelings to her before she leaves her home and sails away on the First Swallow. Sebastian is the captain who takes her in on his ship. At first, he denies his feelings for her, but later falls in love. Stats When making choices in this story, you can choose to follow the path of Strength or Diplomacy: Strength - on the path of Strength, Adelaide does not mince words and quickly becomes "one of the guys" in the cheerful company of pirates. Diplomacy - on the path of Diplomacy, Adelaide knows how to negotiate with others without adopting strange pirate manners that are not typical for a noble girl. And also on the path of Light or Dark magic: Light magic is the magic that fills Adelaide with a life-loving manner of creation; on the path of Light magic, the Mermaid becomes Adelaide's patron spirit. Dark magic is the magic that makes one resort to curses and rude words once again; on the path of Dark magic, Manta becomes Adelaide's patron spirit. Pirate Reputation - stat allows the heroine to freely demonstrate her independence and respect for pirate customs. The game also has a technical stat: Ship Condition - the stat reflects the ship's durability after battles and skirmishes with opponents. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sebastian de Aldana is one of the key characters and a possible love interest in the story of Sail in the Fog, captain of the filibuster ship "First Swallow". A serious and seasoned sailor, known to many as "the darling of the wave". A steadfast and brave man who has seen many seas and glorious battles. Strong and confident, but even in his icy heart there is a place for love and tenderness. Sebastian is of noble birth and was born into a wealthy noble family. His father earned his wealth in the service of the Royal Merchant Marine. Young Sebastian is sent to train under the command of Senor Orduño, after which he returns home and learns that the lives of his parents were taken by cholera. He is the last of his kind and receives a mansion, a position, and a ship with a filibuster ticket. Sebastian goes to a tavern, where he loses all his property to Slippery Nick. However, he wins the power, which allows the young aristocrat to overcome any waves and winds. Nick accuses Sebastian of cheating, to which he reasonably replies that Nick himself cheated too. Nick mentions Davy Jones, laughs, but still gives the power to Sebastian. The devil drives him out of the tavern, and the favorite of the wave meets artists-musicians and a dancer. He admires her, gives alms and goes home to preen himself. He begins to court his new lover in every possible way. One day, the artists are forced to leave, Sebastian asks Conchita to stay with him, but she is going to leave. Later, she comes back and they begin to live together. Sebastian throws a ball, where an official he knows informs him that he (Sebastian) is on the verge of bankruptcy and should return to buccaneering. Conchita gives the young aristocrat a pendant with her blood, he promises to keep it and the next day sails from the port. After some time, he decides to set course for home, but the ship is ambushed by sirens. Sebastian falls under the spell of the siren, but survives thanks to a deal with Slippery Nick. He somehow gets to the port and learns that his beloved committed suicide. He gives his heart to the sea devil, the mermaid, or the darkness, depending on the player's choice. Sebastian goes to Tortuga, where he gathers a new crew and begins robbing ships. Later, he sails to Santa Domingo, where he meets Adelaide. During his first meeting with Adelaide, he behaves cautiously and even quite rudely. He denies his feelings for her when they arise, citing the fact that he most likely has not had a woman for a long time. This is probably due to his former love, the wounds on his heart from which have not healed to this day. From now on, his fate is in your hands! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Christina is a minor character in the story "Sails in the Fog". A young pirate from the ship "Walrus", on which she sailed under the command of Captain Flint, a possible favorite for the main character. Adelaide Orduño can have a relationship with Christina or introduce her to Sebastian (if she is in women's clothing), Jackie, William, Clive, Ivy or Lorenza (if she is in men's clothing in both of the latter cases). First appears in episode 8 of season 1, when the "Walrus" moors to repair a wild island, where Adelaide Orduño, by the will of fate, found herself. Chris supports her from the very first meeting, despite the frankly unfriendly attitude of the rest of the crew. The reason for the sympathy becomes clear quite soon: in fact, the pirate Chris is a girl Christina, who was sold to a brothel in Tortuga by her father two years ago, but did not accept this fate and won a different fate for herself. Despite the fact that Christina is now a master of foul language, in the first months of service on the ship she put a lot of effort into learning how to swear properly on par with pirates. If you ask her what was the most difficult thing in passing for a man, this fact will be in first place. Then - tightening the chest, hygiene issues and the ability to rip open bellies with knives. Chris has a playful and spontaneous character, she can be hot-tempered and abrupt, but as the story progresses, she becomes more serious and mature. Most of the time, Christina is cheerful and frivolous, loves risk and is fond of entertainment, like her fellow professionals, but Chris also retains memories of a difficult past and has serious complexes because of it. Despite the fact that she is ashamed of her gender, Christina admires Adelaide's courage so much that she decides to help her, and then reveal her true identity to the girl. Christina noticeably lacks manners, but she is noticeably more polite and well-mannered than most pirates. She remains exceptionally loyal and devoted to Adelaide. Also, if something or someone threatens her or people dear to Christina, she will stand up for her without fear. In addition, it is worth noting her optimism and sense of humor. Christina is agile and nimble, and it is often mentioned that she is a master of bladed weapons and knows how to tattoo and pick locks. She can give Adelaide beautiful flowers. After the wedding with her, the inhabitants of Santo Domingo got used to this strange union, the parents supported the couple and skillfully forged all the documents and spread rumors about the imaginary femininity of Adelaide's husband. They traveled and took adopted children. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- William is one of the minor characters in the story "Sails in the Fog", a little boy from the inhabitants of Santo Domingo. He spends most of his time near the ships that arrive in the port, dreaming of someday setting sail and becoming a member of the crew. He is in love with Adelaide and confesses his feelings to her before she leaves her home and sails away on the "First Swallow". He first appears in episode 1 of season 1, catching the eye of the cruel Diego, who set his loyal soldiers on the boy. He was saved by Adelaide, which is most likely why he decided to confess. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jackie (real name Njai-Gende) is one of the key characters and a possible love interest in the story of Sails in the Fog, a quartermaster on the filibuster ship "First Swallow", one of Captain Sebastian's confidants. Former member of Bartholomew Roberts' pirate crew. Charismatic and, despite his origins, quite a gallant crew member, with whom Adelaide may develop a romantic interest. First appears in episode 3 of season 1, when the main character gets on the ship, wanting to escape from Diego. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Clive Wellington is a minor character and possible love interest in the story of Sails in the Fog, the governor of the English colony. Clive himself conquered and developed the colony he governs. In battle, he uses organizational skills rather than warrior skills. An Anglican, but does not strictly adhere to these beliefs. At one time, he corresponded with Adelaide's parents, claiming her hand, but was rejected. It should be noted that at that time it was a political and economic move, rather than a heartfelt impulse. First appears in episode 5 of season 1 on the ship "Cutty White" and saves Adelaide, who found herself alone in the open sea. Clive politely and according to etiquette greets the new guest. In the conversation, it turns out that the ship is heading to Santa Domingo for the wedding of Diego de Ochoa and the governor's daughter, and that Clive himself once wooed her, but her parents preferred a more eminent rival. In the same conversation, Adelaide Orduño can either introduce herself with her true name or remain incognito. If Adelaide lies and introduces herself as the captain of a pirate ship, then Clive will refuse to make a detour to Tortuga, not wanting to put his crew in danger. If Adelaide tells the truth about herself, then there are two possible options. First, Clive will want to return Adelaide to Diego. This option will be available if you do not take the paid version in episode 4 of season 1. The second option opens if you influence the padre and then Clive, although with doubt, will take the girl's side. If Adelaide introduces herself as a governor, then Clive will stand under her command. After talking with the girl, Clive will give Adelaide one of the dresses that he was carrying as a gift for the bride, so that the lady does not get cold. When choosing a paid outfit, Clive will comment on how this outfit suits Adelaide. And the comment will depend on whether Adele told the truth, lied or introduced herself as a governor. When the fog sets in, Clive does not believe that his ship could be in danger. When the dead begin to seize the ship, Clive is so shocked that he cannot give orders. If Adelaide decides to save herself, then Clive and some of the sailors will throw the boats into the water and try to sail away, but the dead will continue to pursue. If Adelaide decides to stand to the last, then Clive and the sailors will fight to the end. The colonist, along with the entire crew, can die in the same episode in which he appeared, if Adelaide Orduño does not resort to magic during the attack of the dead ("Hope for a Miracle", "Ask for a Miracle from the Sea" - these are paid options). If the crew of the "Cutty White" survived, Clive will appear for the second time in episode 10 of season 2 at the masquerade arranged by Diego, and will immediately recognize Adelaide among the guests. If she is still not in a relationship with anyone, there will be an opportunity to start an affair with Clive ("Agree to dance and flirt" - paid option), otherwise - to get a loyal ally on your side ("Agree to dance and persuade" - paid option), who will later come to the rescue at least twice and save Adelaide's ship from damage. The afterword of the novella says that Clive already had experience in managing a colony, and therefore in the shortest possible time he restores everything that Diego destroyed. In the future, he and Adelaide will give rise to a new dynasty that will feel independent of the old world, and Clive will no longer allow anything to disturb his and Adelaide's peace. Reserved, aristocratic, well-mannered, intelligent, diplomatic. A true gentleman. Prefers to solve problems through negotiations rather than by force. A man of honor. Clive the gentleman is decent and principled, at one moment ready to shout about his absolute love and admiration, at another - shy and reserved. A good swimmer and an attentive lover, he also shows himself to be a bit of a perfectionist, with a need to have everything marked and marked on the calendar. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Laurenza Capulet is a minor character and possible love interest in the story of Sail in the Fog, an Italian noblewoman who was en route to her fiance when her ship was captured by the pirate galleon Triumph. Laurenza Capulet comes from a family of nobles, but from birth the girl was prepared exclusively for marriage, which is why Laurenza is not even taught to read. At the time of meeting the main character, she was heading to her fiancé. Having heard stories about the noblewoman Adelaide, who escaped from the hateful crown to the sea, she wants to follow her example. Whether to encourage these aspirations and if so, then until what point, the player decides, but it is worth noting: all the choices leading to taking Laurenza with you are paid. She is fond of Tarot cards and, judging by the hints, is able to create some kind of magic with their help: influence fate or curse someone, for example. Laurenza is a well-mannered and polite girl, she is somewhat melancholic, but determined. She is very reserved in showing emotions, sometimes overestimates her strength, is unable to accept the full weight of life in Tortuga. Despite the fact that she was limited in education, Lorenza is a very smart and sensible girl. Aristocratically pale, unaccustomed to bright light. Lorenza has delicate features, dark eyes, and chestnut hair pulled back into a ponytail. She wears an Italian dress and often carries tarot cards with her. Lorenza knows about the peculiarity of her last name and will even talk about it in the game. After the battle on Tortuga, Lorenza will help you preserve the ship's durability with her attentiveness. (Only one unit, but even that is not lying around on the road). The path to the End of the World will lead Adelaide to the English colony, where Lorenza was heading as a bride. Despite the fact that Lorenza appears quite late in the game, a romance with her is possible. And not only for the main character. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kai the Whaler is one of the famous pirate captains of Tortuga, a contemporary of Adelaide, a bully, ready to get into a fight at any opportunity and resolve all his affairs through a duel. Due to his recklessness, he lost his team several times. Participated in the Council of Captains, which was assembled by Sebastian to decide what to do with the threat of an attack by Diego de Ochoa's fleet. One of Adelaide's possible companions on the way to the End of the World. He began his career as a captain on a whaling ship. Life was hard and thankless, but one day Kai heard a priest preaching in the port. The padre spoke of the blessed times they were lucky to live in and how good it was that their people had turned away from the barbaric traditions of the past. Kai perked up and talked to the holy father about the “terrible times,” trying to find out what exactly the barbarity consisted of. After the conversation, he came to the conclusion that the only way to break out of the tedious and boring routine was to return to his roots. Kai is one of the few characters in the game who speaks with an accent. Kai's weapon is a harpoon. The same one, crossed with a trident, is depicted on the flag of "Oskal" under the traditional pirate skull. To get Kai's vote at the Council of Captains, you need to defeat him in battle (including accumulating 35 Strength points). He dreams of defeating the sea serpent Jormungandr, which his grandfather told him about. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Diego de Ochoa is one of the key characters, antagonist and possible love interest in the story of Sails in the Fog, Admiral of the West Indies Fleet and Knight of the Order of the Spanish Crown. Diego is very selfish and narcissistic, always gets what he wants, and is aggressive towards anyone who contradicts him. Most likely, it is normal for him to use violence against people. Diego arrived in Santa Domingo on an important matter, which concerns the conclusion of a political marriage between him and the daughter of the local governor. Not knowing Adelaide's identity, Diego will be very bold in his address to her and will not forget to mention that they will meet again, and then the girl will either face "harsh retribution" for her insolence (Path of Power), or "repayment of the debt" for her compliance (Path of Diplomacy). As shown in the game, Diego is a very cruel governor and clearly does not welcome democracy. In the first season of the novel, we are shown that after he came to power, gallows and brothels appeared in Santa Domingo. It was also noted that because of the racism of the governor, representatives of the Negroid race are belittled on the island. It is safe to say that Diego uses every opportunity to gain more power and influence, regardless of the conditions and consequences of these decisions. Adelaide Orduño - Possible love interest, wife/fiancée. Father - Their relationship is only briefly mentioned, but it is known that they have a rather strained relationship. Young Lady - Mistress, they are not particularly close, but she is genuinely concerned for Diego. Juan - A loyal subordinate who protects Diego at the cost of his life. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Manta (other name Charon) is the patron spirit of Dark magic and the lord of shadows in the story of Sails in the Mist. Adelaide can have a relationship with Manta regardless of whether she is single or has a mortal lover, since all the intimate details with the spirit happen to the girl in her sleep. Watching people from the shadows, he sometimes notices a person with great potential. And at that moment, he clings to such a person, sending him trials and tribulations one after another, until this person gives up, disappointing the dark spirit, or, on the contrary, becomes stronger in spirit, gaining the strength to become something more, achieving success in life and fulfilling his destiny. Thus, if everything in your life is going awry, then perhaps Manta is preparing you for great achievements. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Rusalka is the patron spirit of Light magic and the guardian of the Fiddler's Glade in the story "Sails in the Fog". Adelaide Orduño can have a relationship with the Rusalka regardless of whether she is single or has a mortal lover, since all the intimate details with the spirit happen to the girl in her sleep. May first appear in episode 5 of season 1 - respond to the good intentions of Adelaide, who found herself in the open sea, and with a song attract the attention of the colonists from a passing ship. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Davy Jones is the antagonist of the story "Sails in the Fog". The sea devil, the most evil, bloodthirsty and dangerous spirit. He leaves black marks and takes souls. It was believed that no mortal could lift this curse. Owns a locker. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Conchita is a minor character in the story "Sails in the Fog". One of Adelaide's possible allies in the final battle. A freedom-loving and rebellious girl. She treasures her beloved with all her heart and will never give him to others. Love turned her head and this had significant consequences. She became vengeful and jealous after her death. Conchita is a member of the traveling artists, namely a dancer. Performing once again, she meets Sebastian and notices his not very rich appearance. He throws a purse with doubloons at her feet and he leaves to tidy himself up. She and her group leave. The next evening they perform again at the same place as last time. He begins to win her heart in every possible way and helps the artists. One day, Conchita tells Sebastian that they are leaving for another city and he tries to convince her to stay with him. She changes her mind and moves to his residence. Due to money problems, Sebastian sails out to sea and Conchita gives him a pendant as a sign of her love. It turns out that she is a hereditary witch. Slippery Nick drives Conchita to suicide, deceiving her that Sebastian is cheating on her with Sirena. The witch casts a curse on the captain and only after realizing the whole situation, in order to cancel the spell, throws herself off the cliff into the water. She goes to the Dead Man's Locker and is indignant about why she is there. Slippery Nick gloats over her and says that the pendant with her blood is the reason for her being in the locker. Nick says that Sebastian is wandering with Adelaide, Conchita can't stand it and goes to take revenge. She was the common vision of everyone present on the ship and later tried to deal with Adelaide, repeating that she "could never replace her" and "tried to take him away from her", clearly hinting at Sebastian, since she disappeared only when he broke and threw overboard the pendant with her blood. She did not believe until the very end that he did this to her. In the 4th episode of the 5th season, the story of Sebastian and Conchita is told. After her death, she began to haunt the ship with Adelaide's crew. Depending on the number of diplomacy points, you can drive her away, calm her down and ask her to help in the Last Battle. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ivy is a minor character in the story "Sails in the Fog". A young pirate, one of Adelaide's possible allies. Ivy is one of the few female captains and she shows with her whole nature that they are no worse than male captains. A sharp-tongued lady with a wild temper, but quite skeptical and it seems that nothing can surprise her. Ivy is the daughter of the Moroccan marquis responsible for the colony. We know little about Ivy, such as how she came to piracy, why she left her native land, etc. She has ships "Tomboy" and "Tomboy Junior", on which she transported black slaves. Later, she lost her "Tomboy" in a battle for a ship with slave traders. Then she sails to Santo Domingo on "Tomboy Junior" in order to bring slaves there and sell them. Father - It is unknown what kind of relationship she has with him, although most likely it is strained, because she has stopped communicating with him. She can make peace with him if you bring Ivy together with Jackie or Clive. Daughter - is born thanks to the union of Ivy and Jackie (if you bring them together). She is mentioned in passing, but thanks to her appearance, Ivy decides to make peace with her father and raise her in her homeland. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Tortuga is a location from the story "Sails in the Fog", an island in the Caribbean, an unofficial pirate capital. The main character arrives here to find support in the fight against the Spanish fleet and the witch's fog, and with the help of Sebastian, gathers the Council of Captains, which includes: Jacques-Lumiere, Caius the Whaler, Jorge De Fantasma, Ivy (or her first mate) and Tom Good. Plus two more depending on who is put in charge of the "Walrus" and "Triumph". --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Santa Domingo is a Spanish colony where the events of the story "Sails in the Fog" begin. The main character, for whom you will play, is the daughter of the governor. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Template:The Triumph ship was a grand galleon built by Diego de Ochoa during his time as governor of Santa Domingo. This ship was to become the flagship of the Spanish fleet, and to celebrate its launch, Diego threw a masquerade ball on board the ship, in order to lure his runaway wife/fiancée, the daughter of the previous governor, into a trap. After a series of events, the galleon was hijacked by Adelaide and began to sail under a pirate flag.
