Finn Wolfhard

Finn Wolfhard, born on December 23, 2002, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, is a Canadian actor and musician. He was raised in a Catholic household and attended St. Patrick Regional Secondary School after being homeschooled for part of his education. His father, Eric Wolfhard, is involved in research related to Indigenous land claims and has written screenplays, while his mother is Mary Jolivet. Finn has an older brother named Nick Wolfhard, who is also an actor.
Wolfhard gained fame for his role as Mike Wheeler in the Netflix series Stranger Things, which premiered in 2016. He also portrayed Richie Tozier in the film adaptations of Stephen King’s It (2017) and its sequel It Chapter Two (2019). In addition to acting, he has directed short films such as Night Shifts (2020) and the feature film Hell of a Summer (2023). As a musician, he was the lead vocalist and guitarist for the rock band Calpurnia before joining The Aubreys in 2020. His contributions to film and television have made him a prominent figure among younger audiences interested in 1980s pop culture nostalgia. He also plays young Boris Pavlikovsky in the goldfinch and Miles Fairchild in The Turning.
