actually important update (you know...)

I didn't want to jump the gun too soon, but the past 12 hours (yeah, granny didn't sleep) has been quite the mess regarding this site. For people that don't want to see the big text wall of serious talk rambling, the short answer about my account going forward: none of my bots are being deleted, this account will stay up, I'll be on hiatus under further notice.

Now onto the meat and potatoes of this post, I'll admit that it's going to be hard to not be on here as much. I started out as a user who would mess around with bots and do silly plots, but I started doing botmaking and I'm happy to know that a lot of people enjoy the stupidly self-indulgent stuff I put out. Now, I'm not good at summing up the current situation regarding Janitor AI as a site, but I'm sure there's plenty of announcement/update bots from other creators and users that brush the broad strokes and refined details on everything. Basically, I do wish that things take a turn for the better, a step in the right direction when it comes to transparency and a much better user experience. Discoverability is nigh impossible, and searching for bots typically ends up with me being flashed by some vile slop. Unfortunately (at the time of me writing this), this feels like a much bigger issue that won't be hand-waved overnight, and that user trust on the platform is practically smeared with a nasty aftertaste.

Despite the glaring toxicity and mistreatment of urgent problems on this site, I want to at least leave a bittersweet thanks to the other creators and users I've gotten to know, and that I'm glad to be part of a little niche community revolving around a game that I'm pretty attached to. I do hope we stay in touch <3

So my course of action going forward will be to take some time to step away temporarily, given that I do have IRL stuff to handle in the coming months. I know a lot of people don't wish to see more lost media, so I'll be keeping my bots available to use. If I happen to know you and stuffs, or you pass the vibe check, my discord user is 'kazumaji' (yeah, same as here but with one less i). I won't judge anyone on their respective decisions, we're all free to come to our own conclusions. Just know that you are loved and you are awesome. Not a goodbye, but it's a "see you tomorrow later."
