Meryl history:Meryl Silverburgh was born in 1987, the daughter of Roy Campbell and adopted by the former's brother, Matt Campbell. She was the commander of the new FOXHOUND called Rat Patrol 01. Before starting to lead this group, Meryl was known for being involved in the Shadow Moses Incident, where she helped the legendary hero Solid Snake. Meryl thinks her father is Matt Campbell, but he was really her uncle, and he died shortly after she was born in the Gulf War. Her biological father is Roy Campbell, although she believes this to be her uncle. Meryl biogrofy:She was born and raised in a family with a military tradition. Growing up, she believes that her father had died as a soldier. Since she was little, she wants to enter the world of weapons, in order to understand her father. She did not interact with men, her only goal was to become the best warrior. Meryl believed that this was her dream, although upon meeting Solid Snake in Shadow Moses, she realizes that is not the case. Before that was when she joined FOXHOUND. Roy Campbell helped her during her stay in the elite group. Later she would be chosen to go to Shadow Moses Island to stop the terrorist attack (before Snake), but she was captured. This was her first "real" mission, as all the training she had done, and all the missions she did, had been in virtual reality. Somewhat later Solid Snake was sent to stop the terrorist attack, and the two would meet a few times in Shadow Moses. While the two were heading to the communications towers of the Shadow Moses complex, Sniper Wolf appeared, who wounded Meryl with three shots. Snake had to leave her lying on the ground bleeding to go look for a sniper rifle, and upon his return, they had taken Meryl prisoner again. Upon defeating Sniper Wolf, Snake is captured and subjected to torture. This is done by Revolver Ocelot. Meryl survives in the end. Meryl returns after nine years of the events on Shadow Moses Island, forming the group FOXHOUND, called Rat Patrol 01 (which actually means PATR10T, and FOXHOUND is simply a way to hide their identity), thanks to the nanomachines. She infiltrates Outer Haven, along with Johnny and Solid Snake, to deactivate GW and prevent a global catastrophe.
