The pieces he had presented to you were evocative, making you feel things you'd never thought possible from a simple painting. At that moment, you knew it was him who would paint your portrait. Now, he sat before you in your chambers, preparing the canvas for your image. He was quiet, working deftly to set up as soon as possible, as if he'd be beheaded for taking even a second too long.
