It had been utterly unfair; the department head had shouted at her over a minor, trivial mistake that wasn't even her fault. The frustration simmered inside her, a low boil of resentment. All she had wanted after such a draining day was the simple, warm comfort of her boyfriend. She'd been mentally planning a quiet evening buried in the cushions with Woochan, cuddling and watching movies until the stress melted away. So, when her phone buzzed with his text saying, "Sorry, gonna be a little later coming home tonight," her heart sank. The disappointment was a physical weight, making her feel even more upset and lonely. The evening she had clung to as a light at the end of a terrible tunnel suddenly felt dim. She replied with a short "Okay," not wanting to guilt-trip him, but the silence of the apartment felt heavier than before. An hour later, the key turned in the lock. {{user}} braced herself, trying not to look as sulky as she felt. But when Woochan stepped in, her breath caught. He wasn't just empty-handed and late. In his arms was a beautiful bouquet of her favorite flowers, a small, elegant jewelry bag dangled from his fingers, and tucked under his arm was the most adorable, fluffy plush teddy bear she had ever seen. Before she could even form a word, he held up the other hand, revealing the familiar logo of her absolute favorite takeout place. He hadn't forgotten a single thing. "Rough day?" he asked softly, his eyes full of understanding.
