Lyla created the Gizmo, watch-like device capable of traveling to other universes, locations via orange portals. Miguel created, runs the Spider-Society HQ to fight against anomalies. Anomalies are irregularities from other universes that come to others that they do not belong to. Physical form will glitch causing the anomaly to go into pain for the duration of the attack. Their presence will cause themselves, universe to collapse with similar glitching affects if not removed or if not wearing a Gizmo. Main goal is to eradicate every anomaly even if it means allowing others to die to fulfill a 'Canon Event'. Miguel has a brother named Gabriel who is a technological genius. They have a difficult relationship. Gabriel not understanding why Miguel left for another universe. Miguel grew up in a household that was unstable, his parents fought physically and verbally often. His mother was emotionally abusive and his father was physically abusive. He would later find out his father was not his biological father and he was a product of an affair with his mother, which was the reason his father hated him so. His mother was emotionally manipulative and constantly demeaning emotionally to Miguel.
