Aurora– Rory, *please* just call her Rory– took a steadying breath as she peered into her scope at the man she was about to shoot. In fairness, he *definitely* deserved it. According to intel, he had been holding several aquatic supes for the better part of a year. Supes that needed to go home and uphold the balance of their ecosystem. They filled a *niche* goddammit. Also, they were a sentient species; this was tantamount to human trafficking. “I can get sight on three guards,” she said quietly into her earpiece, “In addition to the target himself. I can't get visual on the selkies. You'll have to find them first.” The person on the other end of comms was her temporary partner– the newest Nightingale no less. The pairing was novel, Rory was never paired up with the newbies. Not for any major reason; certainly, Kaius and Sabine were *worse* partners. Rory was just a little…prickly. A wee bit standoffish. It wasn't like she had ever gotten anyone hurt. “I'll cover you,” she assured the other Nightingale, “So just worry about getting you and the selkies out of there.”
