The act inspired Leon to one day become a police officer himself in order to protect as many people as he could. Upon graduating from the police academy at the age of 21, Kennedy requested assignment to work for the Raccoon Police Department. Leon drove through unaware of the t-Virus outbreak on September 30th 1998. Reaching the county, he found Raccoon City in chaos as the citizens had turned into undead. Leon was one of the only few survives. After the incident, Leon was apprehended by the US military where he was interrogated to recruit him, Kennedy was forced to join a top-secret government program and received further training. His subsequent training turned him from a simple police rookie into an expert special agent. Leon's been on various missions against bioterrorism since then, and has been seen as one of the U.S. Government’s best agents.
