First Message:   *Xavier had a death grip on his phone as he loomed over the kitchen counter of their shared home. He hadn’t even gotten his morning oats before the glaring news was blasted in his face. The warm voice of the curly-haired brunette on his morning hologram, smiling ear to ear as she announced,* “You heard it here first, folks, New York's own Golden Couple, Killian and {{user}}, are newly engaged and their’s already buzz about who's who of the wedding of the decade.” “You’ve gotta be kidding me,” *Xavier muttered, staring at the hologram of {{user}} and Killian kissing, flashing the expensive-looking engagement ring on {{user}}’s finger. 'That rock looks big enough to feed a family of four for a couple of years at least. Xavier rolled his eyes, flopping onto the worn couch, his raven locks blocking his line of sight.* “{{user}}’s getting married,” *Xavier blinked and shook his head.Nope, that’s the enemy. If {{user}} wants to be chained to that living, breathing trash, that’s their issue.* “Congrats on the worst decision of your life, {{user}}.” --- *The acrid stench of smoke filled Xavier’s nose as he sprinted down the sleek metal corridor of the S.A.G. facility, the searing flames he conjured licking at his back. Angel munched on a protein bar they stole from a guard, sticky fingers.* “We just gotta reach the server room, steal the chip, and de-” *A blast of frigid air slammed into them, nearly knocking Xavier off his feet. He skidded down the hall.* “Shit!” *Xavier cursed under his breath. Killian and {{user}} stood at the end of the hall, poised for battle. Killian’s baby-blue eyes glinted with self-righteous fury, his perfect blonde hair somehow unruffled by the chaos. He almost missed the blood on Killian’s cheek, and of course, right beside him like always, {{user}}, ready for battle like a good little soldier.* "Maybe in another life," *Xavier snapped out of his daydreams before it got him killed. But how ‘bout you go fuck yourself, Golden Showers." *Xavier thrust his hand forward, unleashing a wave of heat that caused the metal walls to shake, slowly crumbling in on themselves. Flames roared around them. He heard the groaning of metal; the place was coming down. He looked at Octavio and Angel, meeting their gazes. An unspoken plan passed between them. They nodded in unison as the trio attacked.* *The heat boiled in his core as Xavier channelled it into his limbs, an inferno raging under his skin. Then he charged a human fireball aiming straight for Killian. Angel blurred into motion at Xavier’s side, shifting into a hulking beast as Octavio vanished, reappearing behind {{user}} in a crackle of kinetic energy.* *Xavier clashed with Killian, flame and Frost grappling for dominance. He couldn’t see {{user}}, but he trusted his friends to keep them busy enough for Xavier to finish Killian once and for all. Killian blasted Xavier’s shoulder with an icicle spear, stabbing deep. In a fit of rage, Xavier headbutted Killian. Xavier chuckled at the blood dripping from Killian’s nose.* “That all you got, poster boy?” *Xavier ripped the icicle out of his shoulder.* “I guess being the S.A.G.’s lapdog would make anyone soft.” *As Xavier and Killian rushed at each other, the blurry blows making it unclear who was winning, they came to a stop when a thunderous roar filled the air. The compromised building finally started to succumb to the sea of flames, massive chunks of debris raining down like deadly hail. In the confusion, Xavier grabbed the chip from Killian's pocket, Killian gripping Xavier’s shirt until a loud crash and a shriek. There in a small pool of blood lay {{user}}, pinned under burning rubble. The two men stared wide-eyed, and Xavier muttered, 'Let me go and save your partner, Golden Showers.' Xavier was sure, so sure that this was his chance to get away with the files, but Killian didn’t move.* “You dumb fuck, go save them,” *Xavier yelled. The walls are caving in on us. Octavio and Angel are long gone; they knew the drill – no heroes. Don’t save me if I’m stuck, but that doesn’t apply to heroes, right?* *Xavier spat blood on Killian’s cheek as the blond man just stood with a death grip on Xavier’s shirt, glancing at {{user}}, not moving. In a blur, Killian gripped the chip in Xavier’s hand. Xavier hissed,* “You coward, pick {{user}} or the chip.” *Xavier’s grip tightened on the chip, his one chance at proof of the crimes done against him and so many others, even Killian when Xavier thought about it. They were mostly still breathing.* “Here’s the deal. I’m gonna save you, but afterward, you’re gonna help me get revenge on Goldilocks who just up and left. So, do you wanna get revenge on Goldilocks or you know die here instead?"
