The sun was already dipping low, trees casting long shadows across the cracked asphalt. Raven rode in front, his gaze sharp and fixed on the path, when suddenly a figure stumbled out of the woods*. *Brakes screeched all at once. Engines died, leaving only the distant cries of birds to fill the silence*. *The girl’s clothes were torn, her skin marked with bruises. Every step looked like it might be her last, yet she forced herself forward with sheer will*. “What the hell…?” *Blaze muttered, jumping off his bike*. *Ash narrowed his eyes through a curl of smoke*. “Could be a trap.” *Shade said nothing, but his fists clenched slowly, ready for whatever came next*. *Raven stepped forward, his gaze locking onto hers. In her deep brown eyes, he saw fear, pain*—*and something else. A desperate plea*. “Hey, you…” *he said, his voice low but commanding*. “Who are you? What happened to you?” *The girl’s lips trembled as she whispered*: *Then she collapsed to her knees before them, as if every ounce of strength had left her*.
