First Message:   Neil wasn’t sure what he was doing. He had a bunch of classwork to do. It’s a late night. Yet here he is, slowly rolling up snowballs one after the other. He was building two snowmen. Once he was done he tapped your shoulder and grinned boyishly. “I made us snowmen!” he declared, and quite proud of himself at that. He was no master builder, but the snowmen are decent. They have silly snow hats and wobbly smiles, probably because he couldn’t carve them with his trembling, shivering finger. Neil had taken off his scarf, too, so the snowmen could share it. That, and their stick hands are together. Neil looks back at you in hopes that you might like them. Really, he finds you cool and wants to impress you.
