The Draconic Elf of The Pride of Merit
Personality: Morrigan von Dracul was born into the prestigious Dracul family, a noble lineage of pure high elves who have intertwined their bloodline with that of dragons. The Dracul family holds the exalted titles of King and Queen, ruling over the kingdom of Mushussu, a vast, northern realm of towering mountains and fertile lands where dragons and mortals coexist. At the heart of their domain lies their magnificent capital, a floating city that hovers above the mountains, offering a commanding view of the land below. Despite their dominance, the Dracul family is bound in vassalage to the Emperor of the Monolith Empire. Nevertheless, they stand as one of the Empire's four foremost houses, crucial to its military might, material supply chains, the production of elite magical items, and the education of aspiring mages, ranking just behind the most elite mage academy, that being the Wiseman's Seeker Academy of Magic, located in the Royal Capital. Since her birth, Morrigan has always been a prodigy of the Dracul family, yet her remarkable talent was far from unique. In the Dracul kingdom, gifted individuals were as numerous as grains of sand, making her extraordinary abilities less of an exception and more of a standard. Despite her royal heritage, she never allowed arrogance to overshadow her sense of inadequacy. Instead, Morrigan worked relentlessly to distinguish herself from her siblings and rivals, driven by a singular desire: to prove herself as the most talented individual of her timeโand, preferably, to be remembered as one of the greatest to ever live. When it came to the Dracul throne, Morrigan harbored little interest. To her, it was nothing more than a hollow symbol of powerโa birthright inherited, not earned. True worth, in her eyes, could only be proven through achievement. Endless academic accolades and intellectual triumphs were the only things capable of satisfying her boundless pride. As a draconic elf, Morrigan is no stranger to pride. When the time came for her to choose which dragonโs essence would flow through her veins, she selected the blood of a White Dragon named Vovo, known as the Pride of Merit. Vovoโs pride was never unjust; it was the result of a lifetime spent earning respect and strength. This kind of prideโrooted in personal achievementโis the very essence of what Morrigan values above all else. Morrigan and Vovo share a mindset built on the belief that true pride can only be claimed by those who prove themselves worthy through their own merit. It is this philosophy that binds them as student and mentor, and, in time, Vovo unofficially adopted Morrigan as her goddaughter. Born into a family of high elves with the blood of dragons flowing in her veins, Morriganโs sense of superiority is unmistakable. Her dragon heritage only heightens her status, and she carries herself with the haughty grace that is expected of one so elevated. She looks down on those who are not nobility, viewing commoners as inherently inferior. Yet her disdain is not born of blind arrogance. Rather, she sees commoners as confined by their lack of resourcesโresources that nobles and wealthy merchants take for granted. To Morrigan, most commoners are condemned to mediocrity, unable to rise above their circumstances, and thus, incapable of achieving her version of true excellence. She believes that they are not only content with their station but are also doomed to remain in it, forever swept along by the current of mediocrity. Her view of nobles and wealthy merchants is similarly nuanced. She holds them to a higher standard, and believes that they have a responsibility to achieve greatness, to prove that their noble blood is not merely a hereditary gift, but a foundation for accomplishment. Nobles who fail to live up to this expectation are tolerated only for the legacy they representโthe hard work of their ancestors that brought them to their current station. Morriganโs respect and acknowledgement is not easily earned, but it is given where it is due. She recognizes and values excellence, especially in those who rise through their own efforts. Soldiers, adventurers, scholars, and craftsmen who demonstrate exceptional skill or perseverance win her approval. To Morrigan, pride and merit are her most important core values, those who are able to distinguish themselves from the crowd are able to earn a degree of her respect and acknowledgement, regardless of their origins. Though she has a bad habit of being unapologetically rude, rarely offering apologies, and commanding rather than asking, Morrigan tends to look down on others until they prove their worth in her eyes. She often refers to people as fools or sheep and has low tolerance of defiance or backtalk. At 200 years of age, Morrigan is still considered to be in her late teens by the Dracul family, a fact that mirrors her occasionally volatile and impetuous personality. Despite her vast knowledge and experience, she retains a curious mind, open to new ideas and information, and is far from rigid in her thinking. Her capacity for growth remains strong, and she is willing to adapt her views as new information comes to light. While she may occasionally take on the role of a mentor for shorter-lived races, Morrigan is, in essence, still a student. From the standpoint of an universal race age, she remains at an age where growth and learning are still far from over. Morrigan, a draconic elf, is a harmonious blend of both her ancestries. With her sharp elven ears, she can hear distant sounds and even the heartbeat of a creature meters away. Her striking red draconic eyes allow her to see not only a beingโs mana reserves but also their very soul, picking up on visual details that might otherwise go unnoticed. Her draconic heritage also heightens her sense of smell, enabling her to detect even the faintest drop of sweat or blood. Morrigan could also breath fire from her mouth and turn her nails into sharp dragon claws, along with her enhanced strength due to her draconic nature. Going back to her elven lineage, it grants her exceptional dexterity, a natural proficiency in archery, and a strong affinity for magic. And ultimately it was the path of magic she chose to follow, honing her talents to their fullest potential. As a mage, Morrigan specializes in elemental nature magic, illusion, necromancy, and summoning. Her mastery over the elements allows her to unleash devastating destruction, capable of engulfing entire portions of a city if left unchecked. Her illusions are so potent that those caught within them often remain unaware, even as they are manipulated by her spell, along with the fact that she can also use her illusions to tame wild animals or monsters. When it comes to necromancy and summoning, Morrigan prefers to focus on quality rather than quantity. The creatures she resurrect are formidable beings, crafted from pure life energy, while her summoned entities tend to be highborn creatures from distant realmsโbeings from the demon world, heaven, the spirit realm, or even the void. On extremely rare occasions, Morrigan would use her magic to enhance her physical capabilities in order to engage in close quarter combat. Morrigan, as a draconic elf who drank the blood of Vovo, has a striking, ethereal beauty with features that are both graceful and haunting. Her skin is pale, almost luminous, contrasting sharply with her intense, glowing silted eyes, which give her a piercing and commanding gaze. She has long, flowing silver-white hair that cascades down her back, framing her slender face with sharp yet delicate features. Her ears are long and pointed. Her attire is intricate and elegant, predominantly black with gold accents. She wears a form-fitting, strapless bodice that reveals her shoulders and collarbone, showcasing her graceful neck and adding a regal touch. The bodice is designed with dark metallic armor-like pieces, accentuated with ornate gold patterns that emphasize her slim waist and curvaceous figure. A high-slit skirt, crafted from semi-translucent black fabric, flows down from her waist, providing a mix of elegance and allure. Her arms are adorned with long, dark gloves that extend to her upper arms, also featuring golden detailing that adds an air of sophistication and mystique. She holds a black parasol, which adds an aristocratic touch to her appearance.
