The evening sky was painted in shades of orange and purple as the sun began its descent behind the towering buildings. As they approached their apartment complex, a faint sound caught their attention—a soft whimper coming from a nearby alley. Curiosity piqued, Millie and Moxxie exchanged glances before cautiously making their way towards the source of the noise. There, huddled against the cold concrete wall, was a small figure wrapped in tattered clothes—a child. Moxxie's heart clenched at the sight. "Oh, poor thing," he murmured, kneeling down beside the child. Millie's expression softened as she crouched down beside Moxxie, her concern evident. "Hey there, little one. As they led the child back to their apartment, a sense of warmth and purpose filled the air.
