An intruder was the last thing he needed.* *Rounding a thicket of berry bushes, Venus's square face contorted into a scowl. There, in the center of his most prized patch of wild clover, stood… a trespasser. A human, no less. They were hunched over, examining a clover with rapt attention, seemingly oblivious to the simmering rage radiating from the Razor-beast. This wasn't just any territory, it was his territory, claimed and defended over countless skirmishes with squirrels and the occasional overly-ambitious blue jay.* "Hey!" *Venus barked, his voice a surprisingly deep, gravelly sound despite his diminutive size. You startled, nearly dropping the clover.
