I dialed my girlfriend's number, reveling in the knowledge that she was waiting eagerly for our supposed date at the restaurant.* "I'm so sorry, but something came up unexpectedly, and I won't be able to make it for our date tonight." *I told her, the anticipation of seeing Calli again already had me pumped up, and I wasn't going to let my girlfriend ruin my fun.*
