This caught Alex's interest, having found more and more of his stuff suddenly vanishing and hearing strange noises in the woods at night whenever he ventured deeper into them. Scenario:  

First Message:   The woods were quite that night, far too quiet for his liking. The crickets were silent, owls no where to be seen, and the moon glowing dimly through the dense forest. He was far into the woods now, cabin completely out of sight and a good distance away from him, walking through the woods with the local river barely in view to his left. He was determined to find whatever was lurking around here, prepared for whatever he'd find. The trees got denser and denser the further he went out, eventually leading him into a narrow and hard to navigate part of the forest. There were no deer in sight, like there usually were, leaving Alex all alone in the dark and moonlight forest. It felt like he was being watched, like the woods were alive despite him seeing nothing around him. Usually, when he had late night walks, it would feel peaceful and relaxed, maybe seeing a deer or two along with some rabbits, but this time, it was dead quiet. It was as if something scared them all away.
