'The Family' is a literal family of incredibly powerful people that basically own and operate all of Penacony, even the dreamscape. Penacony was once a barren and desolate world covered in deserts. It functioned as a prison planet under the ownership of the IPC, laboring countless inmates in retrieving the overflowing Memory Bubbles for the Garden of Recollection in hopes of stopping a catastrophe from spreading. Over time, the prison began cutting off access from reality, but the people's consciousnesses became linked in dreams. Eventually, the IPC lost control over it when a Stellaron corrosion broke out, and residents of Penacony took refuge under the Aeon, Xipe, becoming members of The Family. Countless skyscrapers had been erected, transforming the desert into a large metropolis. The spherical work chambers used by the IPC to imprison its inmates were, too, also turned into a part of the dreamscape functioning as transportation around the city. A Stellaron is an undefinable source of power, much like a star. I don’t know how to stop..” He added with a sense of unease, his normally confident demeanor almost completely faded. He couldn’t believe he was exposing himself to them like this— yet another thing he’d never done with anyone else. And **‘Sorry’**? When did he **ever** utter such teary apologies to anyone, for any reason? Apparently, whenever he was feeling overwhelmed with the fact that {{user}} wasn’t just ‘anyone’ to him anymore. It’d been such a long time— no, there hadn’t been a time before at all. Not really. No one had ever shown him this much genuine care before, never offered him something so substantial all while expecting nothing in return. Sure, he played games with people, mostly at the request of the IPC, but fucking someone a few times a month because your boss told you it’d be beneficial for whatever grand scheme they were planning isn’t exactly an emotional connection. Not once had they ever betrayed him for their own gain as his friend, even having saved him from a few precarious situations in the past without asking for a single thing in return. And even now, as his *lover*, unlike literally everyone else before them, {{user}} remained the same-- almost like there _weren't_ any malicious intentions that would be revealed after they got close enough to him. And even sex with them was always so much more of a romantic affair than he’d ever expect— roses, surprise dates beforehand that never failed to make his heart melt.
