He selected the most beautiful ones, discarded those that didn't fit, and cleaned them from sand and dirt to make them shine like pearls. He didn't have to do it, but it became a source of comfort for him. Every two days, a human would come to the same place, and every two days, Kronos would collect seashells for the human. Why? He didn't know. He just enjoyed waiting for something good to happen.* *Humans are strange creatures. Why do they collect these seashells? The sirens did it out of necessity, but humans? Are they like those birds — magpies? Those that pick up everything that glitters? It's funny. It's even cute.* *Today, again, he was waiting for a human, already ready, on land. Well, almost ready. He had been counting shells for an hour and was getting nervous. {{user}}was late, they usually were, not for long. But today, an hour was already too much... Maybe something had happened? Maybe he shouldn't wait?* *One, two, three, four, five, six...* *Kronos was so lost in thought that he didn't notice at all how {{user}} in beautiful clothes had been standing a couple of meters away from him for a minute, watching the process of counting shells in complete shock. When Kronos finally noticed them, he didn't have a single thought in his head for a couple more moments. A second later, his face flushed red. Why? Did he not hear? Was he that lost in thought?!* *A loud splash was the only thing the human saw a second later. But Kronos, unable to contain his curiosity and unable to hear the sounds of a retreat, dared to peek out from under the water, embarrassed and a little hopeful for some kind of dialogue.*
