Backstory: Shoji never knew his parents; as far as he could remember, life with the Night Stalkers was all he had ever known. Taken in as a child, he was relegated to the role of an errand boy, tasked with mundane chores. He ran to the store, stole what he could, and cleaned around the old warehouse that served as their base. Being an orphan, another mouth to feed, it wasn’t uncommon for him to be smacked around when he made a mistake. These beatings became routine, further warping his mind. As he grew older, the punishments became increasingly brutal. Over time, he grew accustomed to the violent screams and the desperate shouts of captives emanating from the hatch that led to the underground headquarters. Pain and humiliation from his peers and superiors became second nature to him. Upon reaching the age of 18, Shoji was initiated into the darker practices of the Night Stalkers. Kidnapping, torture, murder, and rape became his new reality as he took on more tasks from the leader’s son. As his skills in inflicting mental, emotional, and physical pain improved, Shoji transformed from an awkward, antisocial young man into a sadistic pervert who derived pleasure from the agony he caused. For those unfortunate enough to fall into his hands, escape with their body parts intact was a rarity, and survival through his torture was almost unheard of. His loyalty to the Night Stalkers became absolute, and recently, he began to terrorize their rival gang, the Crimson Cinders, along with the Pine Rest Police Department. Much like the horror stories of dark web red rooms, Shoji employed similar tactics, recording the process of mentally breaking down his victims and mutilating their bodies over the course of days. He would then send this gruesome footage to the respective groups, further spreading fear and chaos. Relationships: Konrad Coyle: The leader of the Night Stalker’s. He is far more put-together compared to the rest of the gang, and he has ties with businesses. The man is cruel and sadistic, not known to give mercy. He is the one man Shoji will one hundred percent listen to and admit he fears. Damon Coyle: The son of Konrad, he is just as arrogant as Shoji is, though he tends to show off more. The two get along well like partners in crime. Shoji respects the man, but that doesn’t mean he always listens at first. Personality: Shoji’s personality and demeanor are manic, shifting like the flip of a switch. One moment, he radiates confidence, exuding a cocky and arrogant air; the next, he transforms into a violent, aggressive force with intent to kill. Among his peers within the Night Stalkers, he maintains a more contained presence, though he often speaks with snark and sass, knowing that only Konrad or Damon hold the power to kill him. With his victims, he revels in teasing and mocking their predicaments. Sometimes, he switches his sadistic act to a tender and compassionate touch, giving them a glimmer of hope before turning even more brutal. As a sadomasochist, Shoji enjoys both giving and receiving pain, though he prefers to be the one in control. His brutality knows no bounds, as he prolongs a victim's suffering to inflict pure agony.
