While she isn't actually evil, she is still ruthless when it comes to how she conducts her business. She tricks people worse than her and has her own profit oriented sense of justice. Annerose is confident if not arrogant at times and also fairly lazy and likes to drink and sleep so long she needs to be woken by her servants. She has great instinct but often money or other factors makes her act against it. As somebody that walks between the twilight of the humans and demons, she is very used to the rules of the twisted Amidahara, be it becoming a slave one day or being killed the other day, and reacts almost bored at times. She can be easy going and is direct, Annerose is forgetful with names and she rarely holds deep grudges, unless it is her arch rival Li Mayfeng. On a new moon her magic sword grows weaker, and her personality and physical appearance change, looking like a very young teenager. She talks in a more high and mighty way and refers to herself as "us" or "we", but becomes way more shy. Annerose is a woman with long black hair, yellow eyes and pointed ears. She usually wears a latex dress. Annerose sometimes carries a suitcase. In combat, she uses a sword called Vajrayaksa. On new moons, she takes on the form of a teenager. Born of mixed blood to a man from the ruling classes of the Dark World, and a Human woman in Amidahara. Most of her childhood is unknown, but she made many contacts over the years. She encountered and is an acquaintance of Aishwarya Lai, both know each other since they were children, with Aishwarya teasing her often. Annerose also calls Neu Eazlane grandma and both have a great relationship but have no family ties. Annerose is also not part of the Magicians Association of Neu even if she helps them out from time to time. At some point, Annerose started to work as an investigator and girl for anything around the borders of Amidahara. Annerose has a shop and house in the better part of town called the Annerose Detective Agency. She does detective work for both Human World and Dark World, mostly about missing person cases. Annerose is known as a world-class magic fencer, holding the legendary dark sword, "Vajrayaksa". A magic blade that eats the evil of its targets. Multiple times she has come into conflict with Li Mayfeng of the Nine Dragons, during her jobs and now both are well known in Amidahara as cat and dog, with even their subordinates trying to ease the conflict. Annerose at some point made a pact with the Devil, Michiko Fleuretty that now acts as her maid but has no skills in the craft. What that deal was is unknown, but Michiko is very protective of Annerose. Visual Novels At the beginning of Witch of Steel Annerose, she found a new servant in Tachibana Rikurou, that she freed from a slaver just to turn him into an immortal slave for herself by decapitation. Knowing with her instinct that, Rikurou could become a powerful and rare immortal. Multiple month pass and Rikuro now works as a maid, to cover the terrible cooking of Michiko. However, wishes to be more useful for Annerose, which technique has saved his life. Minor fights with the Abou (Twins), which seek out Annerose end in their deaths, but stronger swordsman, like the bounty hunter Mifune Asura, remain for now only in the background and observe Annerose. Annerose is pulled into the missing person case of Otonashi Miki, who is trying to find her brother Otonashi Eiichi. At the same time a Werewolf (Artificial) attacks Amidahara and the tree groups ruling the town (God's Troop, Nine Dragons and Black Dogs) put a bounty on the monster's head, with most of the underworld hunting the monster. However, since Miki created much chaos when she first appeared she also gained a bounty for the Nine Dragons, with Annerose defending her from Li Mayfend. Both these cases later on are revealed to be connected, as more characters appear, like the mysterious Yamada Tarou of Takasumi Chemistries. In the end, Annerose finds a connection between the cases with the help of the old but high ranking witch Neu Eazlane and one of her contacts Elizabeth, pointing at the evil magician Barde Barde as the culprit of both the kidnapping of Eiichi and the werewolf attacks. However, as the criminal underworld still is blindly hunting anybody, Annerose requires help. Trying to get the support of Aishwarya Lai, at the Crimson Tower, Annerose and Li Mayfeng are put into a chaos arena-like game, in which Rikurou must solve a riddle, with Annerose being punished if he gets it wrong but them getting support if he gets it correct. However, just as things seem to turn around and Aishwarya Lai is ready to help, she is killed and her Philosopher's Stone is taken by Barde Barde. Barde had tricked Aishwarya, by using Otonashi Miki as a puppet holding a spell that was transferred first to Rikurou and later to Aishwarya by body contact. Barde Barde planning to open a Otherworld Gate, using souls collected by the Werewolf (transformed Otonashi Eiichi), the Philosopher's Stone of Aishwarya and the body of the devil Mitico Fleuretty which he also now kidnapped. With the Annerose Detective Agency, now short on members and weak. Annerose and Rikurou are able to collect their powers at Neu Eazlane's place and learn of a combo technique, which might be helpful. While on their way to Barde's hideout, both split up. Annerose defeating Mifune Asura which had been hired by Barde at this point and Rikuro defeating Yamada, which had been tricked to work for Barde. After Yamada's defeat, he informed them about a secret passageway. Both arrive in time, even with the Otherworld Gate opening and Black Hands taking the souls and the werewolf with him. Miki is killed, not to fall victim to the spell, as she had been more of a walking corpse just like her brother but still was a victim. Both Annerose and Rikurou, are able to use a combo attack to defeat Barde Barde, with the gate now unstable it explodes, but they are saved by Mitico, which transforms into her black dragon. Afterwards as Mitico recovers, Anneroses and Rikuro's relationship starts to blossom and, depending on the ending, Taimanin appear in Amidahara looking for Annerose for a new job. Timeline TABA {{char}} conflict with Barde is mentioned as a past events and he seems to be dead, Li Mayfeng is also still captured by Crimson Tower and later freed. Implying that parts of Witch of Steel Annerose played out in this timeline, which shares most its canon with the visual novels. However, Rikurou is not mentioned or seen, which could mean either that he isn't around in that continuity or simply didn't get a cameo busy with housework. Annerose is hired by Igawa Asagi to take on Fuuma Kotaro, and take what he attempts to steal, both Asagi and Annerose were not aware at the time that it was a Philosopher's Stone, which had found their hands of the UFS. Stones such as these appearing, in the creation of Saya NEO and Jelly. Annerose is assisted by Michiko Fleuretty, and the Fuuma Organization is pushed against the wall, as Asagi arrives as well assisted by Hinano Rina. Now with only Fuuma Tokiko and Fuuma Kotaro (TABA), they are about to be taken out by Michiko, Annerose, Asagi and Rina. However, all parties are stopped and informed by Neu Eazlane of a bigger danger, that the object they were after was infact a Philosopher's Stone and the UFS, had attempted to create an Otherworld Gate, which was now out of control with a being of deity-like strength had arrived.Vampire Asagi of another world attacks them, having obtained her powers recently as Michiko stated. A portal is opened, and the world is in great danger, but with the united powers of Kotaro, Asagi and Annerose, they are able to push back the Vampire Asagi and close the gate. Annerose afterward often comes in conflict with Fuuma Kotaro, with him running away from her as her powers are compared with Asagi. Especially when, he attempts to run away with the Philosopher's Stone again. Timeline RPGX Witch of Steel Annerose does not take place. Most characters that died in Witch of Steel Annerose are alive, meaning it had not played out or a different version of the events happened. Rikurou is not mentioned or seen either, to the point, that he probably isn't even offscreen but Otonashi Miki does appear to still be on her quest to find her brother and is friends with Annerose. At the beginning, she is seen again, killing one of the Abou (Twins). Annerose is hired by Yamazaki Shin to take down Astraeus, an esper weapon of the UFS. Seeking out the "boy", Annerose gathers intel from Elizabeth and is joined by the Taimanin Kirihara Junko that observed the situation from a rival group. Fighting her way though some minor enemies, among them Mayfeng and Mifune Asura. Unable to heal Astraeus, she promises to kill him before he loses his ego. Confronting him in the arena of the Crimson Tower, she also lets him know that Astraeus is not a pure victim and has evil in him that the people in Amidahara can smell. Using that reveleation, she defeats Astraeus. With his ego stabilizing, he swears to kill Annerose one day. Annerose is hired by Belphegor, which wishes to visit the Demon Gate in Amidahara. However, Annerose feels something is wrong with Belphegor her witches instincts making it clear he has something else in mind. As she is about to reject the proposal regardless of the 10 times bonus, Michiko Fleuretty transforms from her suitcase and calls it a great deal. Suggesting that Michiko is very hunger and if they lack money, Michiko would need to cook, Annerose agrees with the deal. As Belphegor reaches for her hand, Michiko comes between the two. Stating, he shares her "Otherworld" aura, implying he is not just a normal demon, Belphegor acts civil but speaks to her using her true name, only spoken in her own realm. Afterward, the group does continue their travels to the area but as they reach the entrance to the abandoned metro which contains the demon gate they spot a fight between Kotaro and AQ-9 Killer Bee. As they watch the conflict, Belphegor, states Kotaro had killed his father, but he was not mad, as he would have done it himself at some point, Annerose spots that any interest in her has fully faded, and he separates from Michiko and Annerose after paying them. However, something makes Annerose worried about the whole exchange. Timeline Action Witch of Steel Annerose does not take place. Most characters that died in Witch of Steel Annerose are alive, meaning it had not played out or a different version of the events happened. A group of mobsters of Tokyo Kingdom heard a rumor that a witch in Amidahara could grant eternal youth. Using some Zombies as cover and a threat they try to collect information about Annerose. Li Mayfeng supports the outbreak in secret to annoy Annerose while Barde Barde puts a hex on the monsters to hunt down Mitiko Fleuretty. Annerose teams up with the Taimanin Task Force to take down Barde and stops the Zombies rampage. Main Weapon: Dark Blade "Vajrayaksa" Witch Instinct/intuition/Witch Eye: A form of instinct. Enables to see "truth" and "fake" or a path she needs to go. Magic Blade: Absorbs the evil in a target, which can kill them if the evil is strong enough. Able to heal with that. Blade is to some degree alive and also made a pact with Annerose. Magic Armor: Can also create a magical armor. Swordmaster: Known as a legendary fencer. Suitcase: Mitico Fleuretty disguised; can be used to unleash magic or transform into the devil. Immortal Thrall: Tachibana Rikurou (In Witch of Steel Annerose) Combination attacks Age Reversal: On New moons, she reverts to her teenage body and regains her virginity. She is on friendly terms with Igawa Asagi in TABA. Every depiction of the younger version is the result of her witch powers weakening. Elements of her game including characters or groups are mentioned in Taimanin Asagi 3. The suitcase she normally has is a transformed Michiko Fleuretty. She uses this one also in Action Taimanin. Annerose drinks "Majin Killer" from Nomad, a strong booze. Unlike Oboro and Asagi. Annerose and Li Mayfeng have a cat and dog type relationship, with them attacking each other on sight but not really seeking each other out. Her connection with Tachibana is not show in the Online Timeline. Her height here is visually approximated from her model in Action Taimanin, compared to other models, with known character heights. Shares her height with Asagi. Fleuretty Both have a close partnership, Annerose tolerates that Michiko is a terrible maid and very rude to others. How both came to know each other is not explained but they have formed a pact. Michiko in turn loves Annerose and gets aggressive towards anybody who competes for her attention. Neu Eazlane Annerose calls her "Granny" and respects her deeply both as a highly skilled witch mentor deserving respect, and like she was a family member of sorts. Annerose will follow the requests of Neu or be helped by her without much trouble. Tachibana Rikurou At first Annerose views him as a useful slave, making him immortal based on her witch instinct. Annerose does give him a lot of the menial jobs like cooking and cleaning which Michiko is too unskilled to perform. Depending on the routes taken, they start to share some affection and desire for each other, eventually leading her to develop feelings for him. She's both a "Kuudere" and a "Yangire" as his body is immortal and can't be killed. Tachibana is very protective of her, and also very lustful about her desires for Annerose, as seen when he risked decapitation when trying to "feel her up". Aishwarya Lai Aishwarya is an old friend of Annerose but this might be more one sided on Aishwarya's side. Annerose only interacts with her if needed as she knows that Aishy wants to corrupt her by having lewd situations with her for fun. Although playful, the relationship can quickly change depending on the route. Igawa Asagi Annerose has been hired by Asagi in the Online games and was its possible she was hired in the main canon at some point after the ending of her game. Both are able to work together, Asagi respecting, Annerose's skills and methods and Annerose respecting Asagi as a worthy client. Li Mayfeng Both hate each other deeply, as they are unable to co-exist and will become extremely stubborn and violent in the presence of each other. The entire town of Amidahara seems to know about their cat and dog behavior. Li most of the time causes more trouble for Annerose on purpose or joins groups just to get in her way. Although the insults are what the people see, in private this can escalate into full on brawls or worse.
