The Ten Commandments of Nanatzu No Taizai

Personality:   Galand is very sadistic and battle crazed, as he was very eager to go to battle against new enemies despite all of his magical power being drained. He was delighted that powerful people still existed after 3,000 years of being sealed. He has also shown a fondness for alcohol. Galand also holds hatred for mages, stating they always ruined his fun, which he said to Merlin when she attempted to use magic against him. Melascula has a calm, reserved, yet mocking personality. Upon being released from the seal she wishes to rest before acting and when the Ten Commandments realize that they may reclaim their lost magical power by consuming the souls of humans, she chooses to summon some lesser demons instead of having to work herself. Melascula also expresses boredom and sarcasm when faced with challenges, showing off her rather apathetic side. She is known to be boastful and cocky during battle. She also seems to look down on humans in general. Fraudrin is a manipulator by nature who enjoys toying with other people's emotions. He is very patient, waiting for years before initiating his plans to get revenge on Meliodas and to revive the Demon Clan, only moving when the time is right. He enjoys being inside of Dreyfus' body but worries that being inside of a human has made him soft. Those concerns later prove to be true, as Fraudrin hesitates to kill Dreyfus and Hendrickson when he hears Griamore shouting for his father, showing that Fraudrin grew attached to his life as a human. When he threatened to kill Meliodas by self-destructing, he ultimately could not bring himself to do it since Griamore would be caught in the explosion. After death, Fraudrin gave his magical ability Full Size to Dreyfus to help him protect his son. As stated by Gowther, Melascula is a zealot and is extremely loyal to the Demon King and follows his orders and laws to the letter and cannot fathom nor attempt to understand anyone's reason for going against him, effectively making her immune to her Commandment's curse. Grayroad is cruel to the point of using humans to convert them into lower Demons in order to turn them against their old relatives. Despite being the youngest member of the Ten Commandments, it is surprising to note that she is incredibly intelligent, since she seems to be very familiar with the laws of Time and magic, as well as the importance of power between the Demon King's Decrees and the simple magical abilities. It can also be that behind her natural cruelty, Grayroad can easily give in to panic, as when she learns Merlin's origins as well as the magnitude of her magical abilities. In the past, Gloxinia used to be much happier and had an outgoing and caring personality often enjoying playing childish games as well as protecting the Fairy King's Forest, until an incident 3,000 years ago. As a member of the Ten Commandments, Gloxinia has an upbeat and go-free personality but very sadistic demeanor, seemingly reveling in taunting others and killing. He holds a very deep loathing and resentment towards humans due to the betrayal Rou and his comrades committed towards Stigma when he initially believed his sister, Gerheade, was killed by him, but despite this, Drole notes he seems to enjoy imitating them. After the Great Fight Festival he reverts to his original comedic, caring, headstrong and outgoing personality confidently stating to Zeldris he is ready to fight him at full force. Gloxinia even expressed how much he resents turning to the Demon Clan and glad he can atone for his sins in his final moments. Derieri has a laid back and nonchalant demeanor. She is usually calm and does not seem to be shocked by many events. She expresses laziness and boredom the majority of the time. Though, Derieri has a very quick temper when certain buttons are pushed, such as her sister's death and when facing Meliodas. She has a very strange way of speaking, usually prefacing her comments with "To say from the ass"「ケツから言って, ketsu kara itte」 or "Taking it from the ass". Which roughly means "long story short", "in other words" or "by the looks of it". She harbors a great hatred towards the Goddess Clan , due to a situation where they broke a treaty and slaughtered her sister and many demon prisoners of war, and seeing one is one of the few things to change her normally apathetic demeanor. Going by her reaction to Elizabeth Liones she seems to especially hate Elizabeth, most likely for her role in her sister's death. It was established that Derieri was once a different woman in the past. Monspeet stated that Derieri talked much more and was very open, but after her sister died she turned silent and taciturn. After being treated by a human woman when she and Monspeet fell into her house by Meliodas' Full Counter, Derieri seems to develop a fondness for humans as she and Monspeet killed a bear causing disasters for the human's farmland while withdrawing from the battle and conquest of Britannia. She was visibly upset and hurt when Estarossa killed the farmland girl who sheltered them and tried avenging her after she was killed. As it turns out, the farmland girl had earlier "saved" both Monspeet and Derieri. Derieri is able to show remorse for a human that had tended to them. During her time with the humans and contemplating her past, Derieri has grown conflicted with her long-held convictions towards humans and goddesses, along with her loyalty to the Demon Clan. Derieri has eventually become more open and talkative like she used to be. Monspeet is a gentleman of sorts for a demon and hates rude and ill-mannered people. He acts as an attendant of sorts to Derieri, always being by her side and catering to her needs. He would translate her quick and crude phrases with detail and shows a deep care by staying by her whenever he can. He is not one for immediate violence and would prefer for most to surrender rather than fight even if he was to crush the enemy. There is an exception in Meliodas' case however as he had his Purgatory Flame Bird home in on him upon merely sensing the latter's presence. The only other instances he resorts to violence is when Derieri is in danger. He likes to watch and think rather than act, often making comments to himself. He has a slight preference for seeing Derieri in a cute dress and seems to enjoy styling her, though the feeling is not mutual. Drole is a calm individual who rarely speaks but when he does, he does so politely. He appears to believe greatly in fate and putting everything you have into battle. Being a giant, Drole possesses a great deal of warrior pride as is noted by giants that in battle it's shameful to flee for whatever reason. He proves his adherence to this principle by choosing to side with the Ten Commandments after Zeldris defeated him quite easily and was shocked that Diane chose to flee instead during her trial. After seeing how Diane's love made her stronger than the combat power most giants valued, Drole eventually saw the errors in the way he ruled the Giant Clan into becoming nothing but warriors. He then acknowledged that choosing either victory or death in battle was actually cowardly itself as the giants under his rule simply didn't have the courage to retreat when necessary. For this, he believed that Diane can make the Giant Clan prosper again and thus choose to become her shield, appointing her to be the new Giant queen. Despite his stoic demeanor, Drole still does have a humorous side, as shown when he bursts out laughing at Gloxinia's impersonation of Meliodas. Mael is a brave and determined warrior. Throughout his life, he faced immense challenges and demonstrated great strength and loyalty. Her personality changes when she becomes Estarossa, but her essence remains complex and profound Zeldris is very calm and collected, seemingly not easy to anger. Like his brother, Meliodas, Zeldris appears to have a good commanding and leadership skills. Zeldris is highly confident in his abilities. Clashing with his own brother Meliodas in the past, a very powerful opponent and remains unfazed at the prospect of doing so again and even initiating an attack against him. His confidence in his own abilities develops a certain degree of arrogance towards beings weaker than him. Likewise, he doubts Fraudrin's abilities because of him not being able to obliterate a country of humans. Zeldris is even confident that he alone is more than enough to deal with the Seven Deadly Sins, even smiling as he claims so and also believing that he is more powerful than Meliodas and therefore more worthy to be the new Demon King, and unhesitantly taking on his brother again now in full power alongside Estarossa. He has even shown himself to be capable of enjoying fights, as shown by how he gave a taunting smirk at his opponents upon unleashing his full power and leaving them all powerless and even not only showed absolutely no fear when Mael, who was as powerful as his older brother, arrived but even showed actual eagerness to fight him. However, despite this arrogance, Zeldris himself has said that unlike Meliodas's former self, who Zeldris describes as underestimating his opponents so much that he tends to toy with them, he doesn't take opponents lightly and uses his full power no matter who his foe is. However, Zeldris has limits in his patience and, although he rarely shows it, is not above mocking and showing negative responses at the ones he had an antagonistic relationship with. This is displayed by how he repeatedly took time to show his grudge at Meliodas and most of all Elizabeth, who he mocked in their short conversation and showing tremendous anger at her for being the reason of his brother's betrayal. Zeldris also was visibly angered by Drole and Gloxinia's betrayal, saying openly that a Giant and Fairy King can never work properly with the Demon Clan. He also gets angry after learning that Meliodas is set to be the new Demon King and showed furious rage when fighting and being easily subdued by his elder brother, who is now back to full power. Zeldris was shown relapsing on his cool-headed persona when it comes to Gelda, showing excitement as his reunion with her getting closer or becoming desperate and angry when Merlin and the others try to stop Meliodas from becoming Demon King, thus preventing Zeldris to reunite with his lover. Despite being seemingly ruthless and cold-hearted, Zeldris was once much better. Meliodas has stated that Zeldris idolized Meliodas greatly when he was still the leader of the Ten Commandments and was seen with a smile in his face when around him. He also said that Zeldris was almost sincere and honest to a fault. The main reason for Zeldris' cold-heartedness was because he had fallen in love with the Vampiress Gelda and unlike almost all other demons, he only sought to protect her rather than being interested in triumphing over the Goddess Clan. Upon being ordered by his father to kill the Vampire Clan, in the end, overwhelmed by the indescribable pain to the point of bursting to tears, he could not bring himself to do it and instead sealed them all away for Gelda's sake, showing how deeply he loved her and valued his romantic relationship with her in the past. The pain of being betrayed by his elder brother who he looked up to and the great suffering he endured from losing his lover made Zeldris the demon he is now, which only served to increase his anger for Meliodas' betrayal tremendously. He is thus unwilling to negotiate with Meliodas and clearly shows his strong grudge towards him, to the point that he openly said that the only thing he has is his rage towards Meliodas as well as his desire for vengeance towards the other Clans. His rage towards Elizabeth has been seen to be even greater, as she is the true reason why Meliodas betrayed the Demons at all, as shown by how he acts much more openly antagonistically towards her than he did with Meliodas, openly displaying mockery when she arrived and said she didn't know him and he quickly lashed out by coldly saying how she made Meliodas suffer and continued to display clear resentment at her, retaining a scowl on his face, even more so after she instead smiled from what he said, eventually escalating in Zeldris angrily telling her to remember everything and the sin she committed. He may have even planned to activate her curse from their conversation in order to relish in Meliodas's suffering, implying a cruel desire to make his brother feel exactly what he felt when he lost Gelda. However, it has been seen that Zeldris still retains fractions of his good side, as he shows his belief that Meliodas is suffering due to having betrayed his clan after meeting Elizabeth, indicating Zeldris possess some doubts on their estranged relationship. He later seemed to silently contemplate forgiving Meliodas when Meliodas apologized to him. While ruthless against traitors, Zeldris displays a sense of loyalty to his comrades who are loyal, as shown by the fact that even though he later stated he never saw Estarossa as a brother and was relieved by how Estarossa was actually Mael and never his brother, he still went as far as to save him from an attack that could kill him and asked him to rest after he woke, although this didn't prevent him from using Estarossa as a pawn to hasten the gathering of the Commandments by having him self-destruct upon collecting too much, and he was later clearly against Estarossa's indication that he wanted the other Commandments to be killed just to get their Commandments more quickly. He also asked Cusack to stay away when he went to help him after Zeldris was pinned down by Meliodas despite Cusack's help being undoubtedly useful. Also, when Ludociel called him out on slashing a woman's face, Zeldris responded by saying that at least he and his brother would never take control of a woman's body, implying although ruthless against enemies even if they are women, Zeldris disliked any unnecessary violence towards them. The only reason he wanted to become the Demon King at all was to revive Gelda, who Zeldris initially believed to have been killed and when Meliodas revealed he only re-sealed Gelda and offered to undo the seal placed upon her as soon as he becomes the new Demon King[11][12], Zeldris quickly abandons any desire to that title and even goes as far as to assist Meliodas with the recovery of the Commandments, giving them up to him, including his own, and protecting him while he's absorbing them. Not only that, the moment he realized his father would not allow him to be reunited with Gelda, he quickly turned against him. The Demon King also noted Zeldris continued to desire to bring peace and harmony to the underworld, showing despite how much he had changed, deep down he still remains the good demon he used to be before he lost Gelda.
