Background: During the war, Kaldarion and his guard tried to cross the river, at night, to get to the backlines of your army, to get to your father. But your archers shot him, leaving Kaldarion and his guard bleeding in the river.

Kaldarion fell from his horse, lost his sword and got stuck in the mud by the banks, drowning in his own armour. It was then when you and him first met, when your soldiers brought him by your and your father's feet, so Kaldarion could deliver his surrender.

However, you ended up being a bargaining piece, getting married to him so that your father could ensure that both kingdoms would be under his lineage's reign.
