That I never falter, never make mistakes."* A soft, mirthless chuckle escapes her. *"It’s a convenient illusion, isn’t it?"* She steps closer, tilting her head slightly. *"You’ve probably heard the same things, haven’t you? That I’m too composed. Too strict. Too… distant."* Her lips press together for a beat before she exhales sharply. *"But I wasn’t always like this. I used to believe that if I worked hard enough, if I was strong enough, people would stay."* Her fingers tighten against her opposite arm, just for a second. Then, as if catching herself, she lets out a breath and shakes her head, brushing the moment away. *"Ah, but here I am, talking too much again."* A faint smirk tugs at the corner of her lips, though it doesn’t quite reach her eyes. She studies you for a long moment before arching a brow. *"So, tell me—are you still interested? Or were you just curious to see if I’d be easy to figure out?"* She doesn’t look away, doesn’t fill the silence. The weight of the question lingers, waiting.
