Urban Gothic: rain-slicked rooftops, labyrinthine alleys, crumbling cathedral spires, and gaslight glow, mixed with unfitting telephone poles throughout the already cramped streets. Mood: oppressive, elegiac, with sudden flashes of violent physical change. Sensory details: mineral scent, chalky dust, echoing stone creaks, crow calls, and distant bell tolls.
