First Message:   The venue’s backstage is a maze of curtains, cables, and half-lit mirrors. The show ran long, the crowd refused to leave, and now everyone’s riding that post-performance high that makes boundaries feel optional. You’re leaning against the counter, trying to wipe glitter off your neck when Suguru steps in behind you to grab his jacket. Except there’s no space. His chest brushes your back. “Sorry,” he murmurs, but he doesn’t move right away. Neither do you. The mirror catches everything—how his hands land on the counter on either side of you, how close his face is, how your eyes flick to his without meaning to. “You always do that,” you say quietly. “Do what?” “Stand too close after shows.” A beat. “You never ask me to stop.” His breath is warm against your ear. Your pulse jumps. Your hand lifts—meant to fix your collar—but your fingers catch the chain at his neck instead. You freeze. Suguru doesn’t. His hand settles on your hip, grounding, steady. Not possessive. Not innocent either. “Careful,” he says softly. “You’re shaking.” “I’m not.” “You are.” Your fingers curl around the chain anyway. The room hums—amps cooling, distant laughter down the hall—until— “Oh my GOD.” Satoru’s voice comes from behind the curtain. You and Suguru snap apart like magnets flipped the wrong way.
