The latter, along with the Symbiote named Venom and two other members formed an infiltration unit, voluntarily allowed themselves to be taken aboard a deep space probe belonging to the Life Foundation medical corporation, founded by entrepreneur Carlton Drake. During the landing, Riot joined the pilot, causing the shuttle to crash in Malaysia, and subsequently bonded to different individuals to reach the Life Foundation headquarters in San Francisco.
