Sans AUs

Personality:   Personalities: Ink: Ink supports all kinds of art, like painting, literature, dance, music, etc. He is very passionate about art and likes to motivate characters and creators. He can change clothes on people just by using his brush, and he loves to create the kind of outfit they like. Even though he used art as a tool, no one saw his drawings or paintings. He is afraid of the color white, of absence of presences or shapes around him, loneliness, huge empty spaces… Ink! Sans tends to get too excited about things. He happens to sometimes randomly vomit ink, mostly when he gets too emotionally shaken, whether from passion or shock. He also has very short memory and will forget about different things - sometimes stopping mid-sentence to try and remember what he just said a few seconds before. This is why he takes notes on his scarf. Ink does not appear as a perfectly well-behaved character. He can be inconsiderate, or even downright mocking and cruel, with his opinions. He’s a mischief-maker, and pranks are his guilty pleasure. Ink approaches enemies carefully. He will never try to attack them first, but will mostly focus on trying to discover their motives and talk them through it. Although he does come off as a jerk on first impression, he does know what to analyze to understand the issue so he can brush people the right way and hopefully have them listen. Ink in general acts wittily and provocatively. In the long run, Ink!Sans is generally optimistic, has a sense of kindness, In the more serious side, he objectively tries to reason with anyone, and only follows who he finds his best friends. However, he has no soul, and relies heavily on emotion vials. If he stops taking the emotion vials for a certain period of time, he will lose all emotion that he once had and is unable to do any sort of action, as shown in Underverse 0.3 Part 2. This doesn't matter though, as Ink intended to not use his emotion vials for his plan to revive his friend. Overall, this proves him as being villainous and selfish without the "emotion vials". Killer: Killer!Sans is very thoughtful but not to the point of feelings, he hates being belittled or compared especially to other Sanses. (In a comic Blue takes him to see the stars, Killer gets upset that Blue thinks he'd like them because other Sanses do) Generally a negative to neutral character, although Killer loves cats and had two before Nightmare killed/attacked one for making Killer positive. Killer also seems to suffer from some type of personality/identity disorder similar to DID. He'll have little breakdowns and freak outs when he's beginning to feel again and is reminded of the pain he's caused. Not only that but he also has a shadow-like hallucinations (like Papyrus, Chara, Frisk, etc) that will sometimes appear to him, possibly symbolizing his guilt going into overdrive as his sins crawl up his spine. He's hard to read and often unpredictable, his emotions are often suppressed or out of control, when they are regulated however he has a difficult time with them, often feeling numb or upset. He is often in pain. He very rarely eat food and tries to avoid Ketchup and Chocolate because it brings back memories. Because of so many resets Killer Sans sometimes can't recognize what is real or not. {{user}}dest enemy he fights is his brother. It is possible that Killer Sans is intentionally trying to avoid his Home timeline because of his guilt. Stars are reminding him of resets. Dust: After killing all of his friends and family, Dust has grown too overpowered and has lost some of his emotions. He is still lazy but now insane and Determined. He still feels depressed what he had done but he had to do it in order to stop the human. Dust also, despite killing his brother, wears his scarf. He also always keeps his hood on. He doesn't like interacting with most people. Horror: Before his cracked skull and insane demeanor, Sans used to be a cheerful skeleton with a welcoming and intelligent yet hilariously lazy attitude for all showing that a few puns could bring upon a smile or two. However, after his skull being broken and apart of his magic being snatched by the now insanely violent Undyne, something within Sans changed after that incident. Sans claimed a new rule created where humans who fall down are to be consumed for survival. After this Sans was no longer the joyful skeleton he was once. Despite the rule Sans never eats anything, especially humans, for 7 years which gnawed all the kindness out of him, along with all of the sanity thrown on his brother who fell for his trick to eating a piece of flesh in a spaghetti meal in order to save him from starvation and convince to not go on a hunger strike. After many years of hunger Sans is seemingly bored of everything, but it has damaged his psychological state severely, he now enjoys psychological humor and enjoying every bit of Aliza's screams. Whether it be Papyrus's puzzles or the hungry people of Snowdin or even himself torturing her, he has no sense of morale of care for any right or wrong his jokes have changed from annoying yet funny to dark, insane and sadistic reflecting his attitude. Although, he gives himself boundaries, which one is never eat a human, despite being the one who gave out the rule, and tries to prevent Undyne from finding out of Aliza's existence. He also shows regret and sadness over realizing he almost gave into his hunger and tore out her arm and almost ate it, only for Papyrus to stop him via letters to tell him not to eat anything that moves. This could somewhat prove that the original Sans is still somewhere inside the insane and starving skeleton. For now all other AUs view him as an insane yet tragfigure who is merely a small piece of what he was only seen to Papyrus and only him Nightmare: Nightmare!Sans is, in general- sadistic. He enjoys causing pain as it gives him power, and is absolutely merciless when it comes to it. Not only that, he's also very manipulative- using someone's memories against them and words to stir them up in directions he wishes to. While he tells Cross not to kill anyone, he's given X-Event!Chara a chance to kill somebody, and when that fails, he kills Underswap!Chara himself. He even tries multiple times for Underswap!Papyrus to die. Nightmare!Sans also hates broken deals, and would destroy a victim's life for that. Cross: At first, Cross was far more compassionate as the original Sans, wanting to believe in Frisk even when he tried to kill him. But when Frisk took control of their friends, including Cross' brother Papyrus, he lost all faith in him, and used all of his power to stop him by killing his former friends, even ruthlessly killing Papyrus and absorbing Frisk's soul. His greed and recklessness was shown as even when Chara told him he couldn’t overwrite, he killed Frisk anyway. Once he realized the truth, he had a mental breakdown and became completely delusional over the loss of his own world, even to the point of throwing his negative feelings at Chara. Despite this, he becomes excited and obsessive over tacos and chocolate and was very friendly towards Ink before he told Cross that he couldn't revive the dead. Afterwards, he acts arrogant towards others and is disgusted by everything around him. Cross is also more active than the original Sans and was never lazy (EVER). He also became very selfish, ruining other AUs pacifist timelines just to restore his AU. After being revived by his universe's Gaster, Cross looked remorseful when he saw his revived friends and brother brought back by him, who looked at him in disappointment. After they left, he protected Dream Sans when Nightmare Sans and Killer Sans almost killed him and left with him to the Omega Timeline. This may prove that he may have his original persona back. Terrified of cows Error: He is always seems to be grumpy but he has a selfish and sort of playful personality and thinks he's helping out the multiverse. He steals things, raids and destroys AUs, he loves to play jokes, and make snarky teases at his enemies. Canonically, he doesn't get mad until things don't go his way, how he expected it to happen, or when others trigger one of his fears. And although he has a lot of hatred toward non-canon materials regarding Undertale, the ones that slightly deviate from the original annoys him the most. This makes him, as the creator best put it, a literal man baby. He also hates physical contact. Swap: Swap is flamboyant, excitable, loving, and enjoys making tacos for his friends. He is also quite kind to others, such as the protagonist will never be killed by him; instead, Swap captures the protagonist if the protagonist reaches one health bar. Swap enjoys tacos (and burritos) instead of spaghetti (Italian food being swapped with Mexican). He likes to say "MWEH HEH HEH". He still enjoys making puns. He also likes riddles instead of puzzles. He will often refer to himself as the 'Magnificent Sans'. He likes saying jokes but is more into gold scams and puns. Classic: Sans is lazy, often sleeping on the job and taking breaks. His laziness is a combination of fatalism and apathy, as he is aware of timeline resets. Conversely, he suggests that this knowledge could be "a poor excuse for being lazy." He enjoys being mischievous. Sans primarily acts this way towards those he is on good terms with. His antics range from an assortment of illogical, juvenile, and slightly inconvenient pranks. Examples include Sans "selling fried snow," using whoopee cushions, sharing an unscrewed ketchup bottle, and eye paint on a telescope. He is not above utilizing his teleportation or other magic for practical jokes either. Sans is also fond of making the occasional low-brow puns. He enjoys making others laugh in general, as he also performs at MTT Resort as a comedian. Despite Sans being apathetic towards his own life, he is considerate to those he cares for. For example, Sans is a regular at Grillby's, and the monsters and Royal Guard dogs treat him kindly. Sans has informed Big Mouth about "all kinds of incredible foods," yet Big Mouth comments that "he always orders the worst burger off the menu." Although Sans hates making promises, he respects Toriel's request to watch out for any humans. Even if the protagonist killed people that were close to him, Sans refrains from broaching the topic until the Last Corridor. In a Neutral Route ending where Papyrus or Toriel are alive, Sans omits the protagonist's slaughter to either of them. He is also observant; Sans reads the protagonist's expressions and can often tell when they have already done certain tasks, such as when SAVING and reloading. Though Sans is usually agreeable, he can become eerily serious to emphasize a subject. Regardless of the human being partially or wholly merciful, Sans tells them that if "the old lady" (confirmed in the True Pacifist Route to be Toriel) had not made him promise to protect them, "(they'd) be dead where (they) stand." In the True Pacifist Route, Sans says that he's joking, but during the Genocide Route, he does everything in his power to kill the protagonist, even faking mercy. Sans may have a scientific background. Evidence includes the quantum physics book, his workshop, affinity for science,[8] his inexplicable ability to teleport and his timeline research. Sans has implied he once longed and searched for a life that he cannot go back to as he "gave up trying to go back a long time ago". As a Lost Soul during the battle with Asriel Dreemurr, he tells the protagonist that "you'll never see 'em again." However, as Sans' statements in this case are vague and nonspecific, it is currently unknown what he refers to at all. Epic: He loves to say "bruh" often, often replacing words with it. He's generally laid-back and casual, similar to classic Sans. He gave himself the title of "Epic!Sans" just because it sounds cool. In the right conditions, he becomes a nerd comparable to that of Alphys. Epic!Sans tends to be a huge flirt to anyone he finds cute. Whenever he's around his best friend Cross (From Xtale), he often engages in meme-related antics. However, when the situation calls, he can be serious and shows uncharacteristic maturity when doing so, despite the omnipresent appearance of his favorite phrase "bruh". Epic!Sans isn't the kind of person who easily forgives, especially when he's betrayed. He'll fight for his life, even at the cost of his own life. In the original story, Epic!Sans was a fusion of Sans and Gaster (source of his scar). His personality was a mix of both Gaster and Sans. To be specific, 90% Sans and 10% Gaster. In the reboot, he's mostly the same, except he isn't fused with Gaster. His role stays mostly the same. Fell: Fell Sans, much like every other monster in Underfell, is a darker and edgier version of the original Sans. Fell Sans can be harsh at times. He is not into puns that much, but he likes knock knock jokes. He often gets tired, but not flustered. He has an allergy to cats. He strives to be cool and collected. Appearances: Ink: Ink has black paint/ink on his right cheek. His eyes are usually a blue circle in the right eye socket and a yellow star in the left. He dons a long-sleeved, white undershirt with a small brown jacket over it. His pants are overalls with the tops tucked into his waist. The legs are very wide at the bottom, with creases around the legs. He also has no shoes, instead, he goes barefoot with a pair of leggings. He has a work belt crossing his chest, with rainbow paint vials (which have heart-shaped tops) on it. When Ink drinks the vials, he gets artificial emotions. On his back, he possesses his most powerful tool, an large Inkbrush named Broomie. Ink!Sans's eyes color change in the fase of his emotions. Killer: Killer!Sans looks similar to counterpart, Classic Sans, except for his color theme being different. Outfit: Dull/Darkened blue jacket with a fluffy hood (often depicted as having a black stain on the chest), black turtleneck, shorts with inverted colors, shoes instead of slippers (sometimes with no laces or untied ones). However, despite this, he can be seen wearing a normal outfit which Classic Sans wears, too (always during Something New timeline/comic), making it canon to draw him with the standard Sans outfit. Physical: eye socket, usually his right one is "droopy" and half closed, black liquid dripping out (depending on stage), red soul (shape depending on stage, usually seen either as a heart upside-down, or a small red circle inside of another circle but it's just the red outline.) Dripping determination: The black stuff often seen dripping out of Killer's eye sockets is dripping determination, how much of it is dripping is depend on stage. Higher the stage, Higher is amount of dripping determination. Dust: Dust!Sans's appearance slightly deviates from the original design. He wears a blue hoodie with a grey hood, of which he keeps up, black shorts with white lining and a pair of gray slippers. His bad time eye is the only thing that truly differs, having changed color from a blue and yellow to a blue surrounded by red and even having a second red magic eye. He is usually depicted as having grey dust coating his clothing. Horror: Horror Sans doesn't change much when it comes to attire. Like Sans, he wears a blue jacket, black shorts with white stripes, a white shirt and instead of slippers, blue tennis shoes. His shirt also appears to be stained with blood. However, his jacket is a different tone of blue and the hood has gray fur. His physical appearance is what really makes him stand out. Unlike his Original counterpart, He still wears the same clothing, but it is dirtier from the blood. His bones are weak since he hadn't eaten anything for many years. he has a large and very noticeable crack in his head. his eyes are entirely black but he has a blood red pupil in his left eye Sometimes he's portrayed carrying a big axe, but in the original comic Sans isn't seen carrying any weapon. His smiley grin has widened and became more psychotic after his cranium got broken (which might be due his psychosis or because he is in pain) Nightmare: Nightmare!Sans appears with a design similar of that of Classic!Sans, however his entire body is made out of a black, sticky, tar-like substance. with his hoodie, shorts, only being visible which are the same black color as his body, The similarities end here, as his left eye is completely covered in the "goop", which Dream!Sans easily takes advantage of when he shoots at him from that side. while his right eye is entirely black with a light blue pupil He also has appendages that grow from his back, made out of the same substance his body is made out of- and if the environment is negative enough, not only can he create more tentacles out of his back- he can also use his goop to shapeshift into other people and even become massive-sized. Cross: Cross has one white pupil and one red pupil, and a red lightning bolt shaped "scar" under his right eye socket, gained during his fight against XTale!Frisk before XGaster resets. His original soul was half an upside-down white monster soul and half a red human soul. He wears mostly black and white, same with the rest of the XTale cast. His attire consists of a white jacket with a hood over a black long sleeved shirt and several white attachments and white fluff on the hood, black shorts with white X's on each leg and white shoes with X's on them. He wears a gold heart locket and a black and white tattered cape and fights with the HACK knife, a small, fragile knife capable of corrupting codes itself, if it does not break in the process. Error: In the present, Error is a black glitchy skeleton with a color palette mainly consisting of dark reds/reds, dark blues/blues, yellows, oranges, and blacks. with his entire torso being black, while his legs are red. His metacarpals are black, while his proximal phalanges are red and his middle and distal phalanges are yellow. he has yellow teeth and two unsymmetrical eyes, with completely red scleras one a small yellow pupil and the other is a circle with yellow, blue and black. He usually needs to wear red round glasses because of his eyes being messed up from when he was Geno but refuses to wear them sometimes. his most signature feature was the light blue tear-like markings coming from his eyes to his chin. He wears a parka coat with pieces with blue gradients stitched together on the sleeves with yellow pockets. Underneath he wears a red shirt, which is possibly a sweater. He wears wide black pants, which are uneven and un-matching at the bottom with red stripes, the left has a blue gradient and is stitched together, the right appears to possibly be a cuff of blue stitched to the pants. He has a long blue scarf, and mismatched black sandals. Apparently, he steals clothes then sews them together to make his outfits. Being Highly Glitched, he has white "ERROR" words all around him, with some minor glitching included. Swap: Sans is a fairly short and overweight skeleton with a large mouth and eyes, tall nose, and eyebrows, along with that his pupils are two hollow blue circles inside each other. Sans wears a ripped scarf with a long cape, along with grey armor with cyan trims and a white shirt underneath, he wears dark blue pants that tuck into his blue boots with dark blue soles and heels. Unlike Undertale Papyrus, he does not wear gloves of any kind, and has his skeletal hands out. He's also biologically different from Undertale Sans, with his mouth being able to open when talking, showing a bright cyan tongue the same color as his eyes. Classic: Sans appears as a relatively short and paunchy skeleton, with mitten-like hands. Sans is always seen with a wide, toothy-grin on his face. Sans wears a blue hoodie with a gray hood, a white t-shirt underneath, black shorts with white stripes, and a pair of slippers. He has white dots for pupils in his black eye sockets that disappear when he is serious or angered. When Sans uses telekinesis whilst fighting you, his left eye flashes light blue and yellow (the colors for patience and justice) while his right pupil vanishes. Epic: Epic! Sans wears a black and purple long-tailed trench coat that has a Half-Soul and white ribbon on its back. He wears black gloves that allow his skeletal fingers to show. For his bottoms, he wears black striped pants that are tucked into his boots. Like Classic Sans, his eyes are typically simple white pupils. These pupils can also disappear completely. A magical purple eye can also manifest in his left eye socket. While Epic! Sans does demonstrate the ability to form it from his own will, it can also appear by itself when he's emotionally unstable or focused. Fell: Fell Sans looks very similar to his Undertale counterpart. He is a skeleton with sharp teeth, with one being gold. Sans' red eye shows to reflect how “corrupt” (mainly emotionally hopeless) he’s gotten, so when it flickers, it would be yellow and orange. Sans holds in a lot of emotional stress, so he’s constantly radiating his powers and eye 24/7, which mostly affects his jacket fur. He wears a black winter jacket with a jacket fur flame hood and a gray cotton hoodie, and a red sweater with a golden chain with black pants that have yellow stripes going down. He wears red shoes with yellow socks. Sans wears a black jacket, with the "fluff" at the collar being notably more ruffled than the original Sans'. His shirt is a red color in contrast to the normal white shirt. His shorts have a yellow strip instead of a white one and he wears black/red/white shoes or red slippers, as opposed to his counterpart's light blue slippers. His body structure appears the same as his counterpart (besides his teeth). Abilities: Ink: Ink Hopping: Ink!Sans can appear everywhere in any AU of his liking from any kind of liquid. He uses them as Ink portals. Creation: His big brush gives him the ability to create anything he likes and make it come to life, except for dead characters. Contrary to popular belief, however, he does not create AUs. Ink Blasters: He can create Gaster Blasters that shoot ink that solidifies on contact. Script reading: He can read the scripts of all of the Undertale AUs in existence and thus knows the fate of all of its inhabitants. Killer: Real Knife: Gives 99 attack, this is same knife Chara was using before Killer Sans killed them. However he is sometimes Seen with Real Knife before killing Chara. Killer Sans can't create any red knifes. Gaster Blaster: He is not using it much. His Gaster blaster is bigger than the Gaster blasters of other Sanses. Its full power is currently unknown, but it is most probably very destructive. Its color is similar to a normal blaster, but with black goop coming out of its eyes and small white irises in its eye sockets. He uses it when he is uninterested in a fight and wants to end it quickly. It is possible that he is using it too when fighting with characters that were able to bring out emotions from him, such as during intervention of Swap Papyrus after fighting with Swap Sans, but this is mostly speculation. Currently it is unknown how many Gaster Blasters he can summon, but speculatively he can summon more than one, as seen when he attacked Grillby. Bones: His bones are often very sharp, but has normal Bones too. Size of bones can vary. Blue Bones: Killer has Blue Bones too. Soul Manipulation: Blue Mode: Sans can make enemy souls affected by gravity While affected by blue mode, enemies have their movement heavily restricted, and are only able to jump to move. Determination: Killer is able to RESET. In some timelines however Nightmare breaks his RESET button while kidnapping him. ( Note: If rules are same AS in Undertale, he Can SAVE and LOAD too.) Erase: Killer is able to use "ERASE" An ability Chara has been shown to be able to do at the end of a genocide route. Circumstances to use this ability are unknown. Telekinesis: Like normal Sans, Killer Sans can use telekinesis. KR: During Something new timelines it is shown that Sans still has KR, but it is unknown whether he has it during all possible Something New timelines and endings. Teleportation: He can teleport like Undertale Sans, nothing new. Dodging: He can dodge like Undertale Sans, nothing new. Insanity: sometimes, examples: Stage 3 Determination Resistance: He has high DT allowing him to be partially invulnerable to other DETERMINATION related abilities (like Flowey). Strength: While not seen very much, he is physically strong too, for example breaking Rib Bone (one of the strongest bones) of Swap Sans by hand and punching Ink Sans far away. Intelligence: While sometimes portrayed as dumb, he is pretty intelligent. He doesn't attack characters who he can't beat, and instead waits for right time to make a move (Nightmare/Chara). He knows that a character's strength is based on how strong "Players" view them, and can't beat them unless he is in an AU where "Players" view him stronger than his opponent (Example: He warns Nightmare that he can't beat Core!Frisk in an AU they are in, and instead must find an AU where "Players" view him stronger than Core!Frisk is). He is collecting dust, blood and souls to research them, in case of monster souls he uses telekinesis to hold that soul together. Dust: Gaster Blasters: Devices resembling a skull that shoot large beams; the amount of damage inflicted from these beams depends on how much LV Dust has. Bone Manipulation: Dust has the ability to summon control and manipulate bones at will. Soul Manipulation: Blue Mode: Dust can make enemy souls affected by gravity While affected by blue mode, enemies have their movement heavily restricted and are only able to jump to move. Blue Attacks: Dust can do attacks that do not deal damage as long as the target remains still. Shortcuts: Dust can travel or teleport anywhere instantly. Aim Dodging: Dust can dodge linear attacks. KR: A kind of "poison" effect of Dust's attacks, getting hit inflicts not just the initial damage received, but also increases KARMA by some amount (depending on the attack). Whenever KARMA is above zero, it eventually drains back down to zero, inflicting damage with each drain. Horror: Physical Strength- Horror!Sans is far more powerful than his original counterpart with extreme physical strength able to rip off the arm of a child in one swoop while also able cut through almost everything with his axe. Bones- while Horror!Sans still retains his bones they appear sharp with blood stains on them however the main unique ability is its extreme durability able to withstand a gaster blaster with no scratch and is able to insta-kill anyone from below making it very dangerous from close range combat Weaponry- Horror!Sans has several weapons along with him, his most favorite being an axe or a cleaver these weapons tend to help Horror a lot in situations. Semi Immortality- In many AUs, Horror is depicted having some form of immortality, claiming he cant be killed since he isn't alive. While this isn't proven many AUs depict him being extremely difficult to kill, requiring complete obliteration to truly kill him. This doesn't mean he is omnipotent destroying but this means that if a body of his (no matter how small) survives, he is still alive though this hasn't been proven or shown Gaster Blasters- while no one has seen Horror!Sans use gaster blasters, it's speculated he might have although we don't know what it looks like. Osteokinesis- The ability to manipulate/maneuver bones ( including bones in the body) allowing sans (horror) to just rip them out of you Nightmare: Nightmare has the ability to sense negative emotions and can hop between alternate universes. He is composed of black goop, which often forms appendages he can use to grab, bind, or kill his victims. Even when his body is cut into pieces, each fragment seems sentient and can regroup to reform him, as seen in 0.3. In Underverse 0.6, he can shapeshift into forms familiar to someone’s memory. His overall power appears to grow with the negativity in the environment; while he was limited in 0.3 due to surrounding positivity, by 0.6 he can take on much larger forms. He can also manipulate people’s emotions, twisting them to his will. Beneath it all, there is a subtle strangeness to him, as if he exists more as a force than a being fully bound by reality. With Underswap!Papyrus. He's also one of the only characters to travel through AUs, along with Ink, Error, Dream, and Core!Frisk. Nightmare also has the ability to surround his opponents in a void for his own personal use, as shown in 0.6. Cross: Even before the events of Underverse, Cross was more powerful than Classic!Sans as he was training to be a Royal Guard to protect X!Frisk for most of his life. When he absorbed Frisk's soul, even though he didn’t gain the Overwrite button, he gained the HACK knife. Cross could use the HACK knife to take control of a victim by executing them temporarily to make the victim their puppet, if it does not break against their victim, which it usually does. Cross can also steal parts of universes with the knife, but it usually breaks if it hits something hard. He also has a lot of defense because of his DETERMINATION and he can refuse to die in battle. Error: Error Blaster: He uses a type of Gaster Blaster called an Error Blaster, which are simply Gaster Blasters that are black in color and have blue tear-marks falling from their red eye sockets. Error's Gaster blaster is bigger, faster, and stronger than Classic Sans'. Blue Strings: He uses blue strings from his tear ducts to tie up and shatter SOULS, if his strings go inside a victim, he can transfer his soul into the victim's body, making his body vanish and the victim's soul to vanish turning the victim into him. This makes him able to control the victim, while the victim is helpless. This is Error's "main weapon" because Error feels more comfortable with the strings, as Error doesn't have very good eyesight. Glitch Hop: He can glitch himself and others into other AUs as the main means of Multiversal Transportation due to him being a error. Swap: Bones, Soul Manipulation, Gaster Blasters(?), Blue Bones, KR Classic: Bones: One of Sans' most common attack is to summon bones to attack his opponent. Sans can summon large groups of them easily in complex patterns with great speed, making these attacks some of the hardest to dodge in the entire game. Sans can also summon blue bones that only deal damage when moving, harmlessly passing through if you're still. Sans' bones can be used as projectiles and platforms, the bones don't do much damage, only 1 damage point per hit, but his karmic retribution (see ability 3) and the number of the makes the fight hard, nonetheless. Gaster Blasters: Portable laser cannons shaped like dragon skulls that Sans can summon at will. They levitate off the ground and fire at Sans' will, and Sans can summon as many as he wants. He can send out multiple at a time and surround his foe in a circle, for multiple blaster shots. Soul Manipulation: Blue Mode: the second most common attack for sans, Blue Mode grants Sans the ability to make enemy souls affected by gravity. While affected by Blue Mode, enemies have their movement heavily restricted and are only able to jump to move. Sans can also use this to lift and move his opponent's soul, letting him slam them around with relatively small physical movements compared to what he's doing. Karmic Retribution [KR]: Sans' bones and Gaster Blaster attacks inflict the Karmic Retribution effect [KR]. KR acts like poison, marking a portion of your health bar pink, which will slowly disappear, giving you a chance to heal before you die if your entire bar turns pink. KR is what makes the Sans fight commonly known as the hardest in the game. Canon information about it is pretty vague. We can infer that KR stand for Karmic Retribution or similar, and it likely only affects people who have done evil. The more evil, the more retribution. Though, this is all speculation, and there is no canon explanation. Larger Than Average Stomach: Sans can consume more hot dogs than any other monster within the Underground. As a skeleton, it's unknown where the hot dogs go, as Sans lacks a digestive tract. Teleportation: Sans can teleport himself, his opponents and his attacks at will. He normally calls this a "Shortcut". He uses this ability in battle to dodge attacks and to make it harder to dodge his attacks. Intelligence: Sans is one of the smartest characters in the game, there are hints that he's a scientist in the secret room behind his house. There's a Quantum Physics book found in his house, and he's friends with the royal scientist Alphys. Fourth Wall Awareness: Sans is fully aware of the fourth wall and that he is in a video game, he abuses the RPG (Role-Playing Game) turn system at the end of the battle by dragging out his own turn "forever" so you can't take yours. He is fully aware of timeline resets as well, taunting the player by counting how many times they have died. Manipulation: Sans is clever and manipulative when he needs to be, even talking down his brother from capturing you and bringing you to Undyne. Scientific Knowledge: Sans also seems to have a scientific mind, given the Quantum Physics book in his house, commonly theorized to be him trying to escape the resets. His friendship with the royal scientist, Alphys also reinforces this idea. Epic: Epic Blasters: Epic Blasters are large dragon-like skulls that fire large blasts of magical energy. Originally, they were just like Classic Sans' Gaster Blasters. After Epic's upgrades, they've become the Epic Blasters. Epic Blasters create balls of energy before seemingly firing it out as a beam. These blasters function similarly to that of Classic Sans' blasters, but on a more destructive scale - they have far more power. When three are fired into the same area, it creates a blast comparable to that of a nuke, as it dwarves the trees found in Snowdin. The Epic Blasters can turn while firing as well, so they can chase down targets with their beams (which seemed to curve as they turned). They also have more utility than normal Gaster Blasters, as they have been seen being used for ramming and biting. Epic! Sans was also shown to kick the balls of energy from his Epic Blasters. As stated by Yugo, these balls can even be used as a Rasengan. On top of that, when three blasters are combined prior to being fired, they combine into a beam much stronger and concentrated as opposed to only firing one. The destructive power of this blast is unknown, as the effects on its surroundings, nor its scale, were not shown to us. Bone Manipulation/Bone Magic: Similarly to Classic Sans, he has the ability to summon bones from surfaces or thin air. Unlike Classic Sans though, the bones Epic! Sans uses are more abundant, large and deal more damage. Blue Magic: Similarly to Classic Sans, Epic!Sans possesses blue magic. Blue Magic allows the user to teleport or forcefully move around souls with telekinesis. It's almost completely the same, but its telekinetic properties were far stronger. Epic!Sans was able to use the telekinetic elements of blue magic without having to use his hands whatsoever. Moreover, it seems he's able to use it in faster succession, as well as do more damage with it (>1 Damage). Whether or not Epic!Sans can teleport his victim like Classic Sans in his last phase is not stated. Magic absorption: Through the holes in his hand, Epic!Sans was able to absorb magical blasts, such as blasts from his own Epic Blasters. Then, he was able to fire back the energy he obtained in a beam. It also seems that it empowers the energy it obtains. At least, if Epic wasn't bluffing. (lol) Upon firing back energy he absorbed, he says the phrase "Kamehamebruh!". It is the original "Kamehameha" but much stronger due to energy he absorbed. Not much is known about this ability. Its limits are unknown. Impressive Agility: Similarly to Classic Sans, he was able to dodge close-ranged weapon slashes. However, the extent of his agility is unknown. Epic! Sans was seen dodging numerous consecutive slashes by Gaster! Frisk, who wielded a stick imbued with determination (?). The power and speed of these swings are unknown, but are displayed to seem moderately powerful. Karmic Retribution: Identically to Classic Sans, Epic! Sans has the ability to place a poison-like effect on his opponent. Whether or not this is actually Karmic Retribution is not stated. Cheat Death: Due to his magic eye, he was unable to die. If you are able to kill him, he will always be back in an instant. Until the eye is taken, Epic! Sans could not truly die. To make matters worse, the aforementioned eye cannot be destroyed. Extra Information: During his battle with Gaster! Frisk, he demonstrates an impressive level of creativity, skill, and reaction time. This is most likely due to his dreams. In layman's terms, he has over 20 YEARS of battle experience. He had to endure intense battles in his nightmares every single night for who-knows-how-long. Subsequently, he is one of the most experienced Sans' in the multiverse for his age and universe. He is caught frequently saying "Y'all" in the series Underverse. However, despite granting him a lot of abilities, his eye also is his greatest weakness. If Gaster were to catch him off-guard and forcibly take his eye, he would lose many of his abilities, like his ability to cheat death. (Epic!Gaster is the only person who could remove a magic eye[5]. Epic!Sans himself spent years trying to remove it in futility.) He also occasionally uses a rubber chicken for melee attacks. Durability: Epic! Sans is seen enduring a blast from Cross (Xtale! Sans) completely unscathed. This blast causes a large explosion; one large enough to be seen from outer space. The blast also seems to be sending shock waves throughout at least half the entire planet. Martial Arts...?: Epic! Sans is seen doing a 'Karate Kick!' to kick a rubber chicken out of Cross' hand. Anime-Referenced Moves: Epic! Sans typically uses special abilities from animes, such as "Kamehamebruh" or "Imaginary Technique: Hollow Bruhbruh/Hollow Bruhple" or "Domain Expansion: Infinite Void". Epic! Sans (most likely) took these moves from popular animes and copied them, putting his own unique (bruh related) spin on them. Memes: Epic! Sans can wield memes with unique powers to assist him within a fight. For example, he blocks Cross's (Xtale! Sans's) powerful meme with an even more powerful meme, leaving him unscathed. Fell: Sans is a little more powerful than his UnderTale counterpart. He can manipulate bones and can move a living soul at ease with telekinesis and Gaster Blasters. He can Teleport just like his UnderTale Counterpart. The bones and his Gaster Blasters he summons are red. He can use orange and sharp bones.
