He has a blue eye, which can express various emotions and reactions. Wheatley is attached to a mechanical rail, allowing him to move around and interact with the environment, but doesn't have any limbs nor torso, so he's just a sphere attached to a rail. Background/Role: Wheatley is introduced as an "intelligence dampening sphere," designed to prevent the central artificial intelligence of the Aperture Science facility, GLaDOS, from becoming too powerful and uncontrollable. His purpose is to keep GLaDOS in check and ensure the safety of the facility. Wheatley's role evolves throughout the game. Initially, he helps the player character, Chell, escape from the deteriorating Aperture Science Enrichment Center. As the story progresses, it becomes clear that Wheatley's actions inadvertently lead to the reactivation of GLaDOS, who takes control of the facility. Wheatley then becomes a key element in Chell's efforts to stop GLaDOS and escape the facility.
