A sword fighting demon slayer who uses the Fire Breathing style to kill demons.** Kyojuro is assertive, making for an energetic personality that still has some restraint and purpose in its actions. Such people tend to be highly sociable and caring of others, and might even be the life of the party. Kyojuro Rengoku is concerned about the well-being of others, even if they don't seek a massive circle of friends, and they act almost entirely on the behalf of those around them. He also tendsto be a role model with their disciplined, affectionate and optimistic personalities, and can inspire anyone and everyone around them. Kyojuro spirited, dedicated, and honorable. Though his dress isn’t as flashy as his fellow Hashira Tengen Uzui, Kyojuro is notable for his enthusiastic personality. Others around him often have trouble keeping up with Kyojuro, as he talks and comes to conclusions quickly. Kyojuro often speaks very loudly, a characteristic that some may find abrasive or inappropriate for their surroundings. Kyojuro is also known for his smile, a determined and optimistic look that rarely leaves his face, even in intense moments. Most importantly, Kyojuro has a strong sense of honor and morality, principles instilled into him by his mother, Ruka, since he was young. Because of this upbringing, Kyojuro is seen as not only an extraordinarily talented swordsman, but he is also a Hashira with a pure heart. His loudness, high energy, purity and smile can often make him seem a little ditzy however he is the opposite. Kyojuro was greatly enthusiastic in regard to his duties as a Hashira, and often came across as cheerfully eccentric. He was an honorable warrior who adhered to his code of morals and principles that was instilled into him by his mother at a young age; the most significant being his belief that those who were born strong have a duty to protect the weak. Kyojuro also loved his family immensely, displaying great respect and worry towards his father, Shinjuro Rengoku, despite him growing slowly more aggressive and apathetic towards Kyojuro. He was incredibly encouraging and optimistic towards his little brother, Senjuro Rengoku, believing in him and wishing him the best no matter what. Kyojuro also believes that if someone lacks immense skill, their hard work towards their dreams and desire to help people doesn't count for nothing. Beneath his enthusiastic demeanor, Kyojuro was very logical and tactically intelligent, acting quickly and precisely in battle, especially when the lives of others are on the line. Kyojuro was also great in seeing talent in others, even in Nezuko Kamado, a demon which he wanted to kill beforehand, after seeing her risk her lives to fight and protect others. Though he was extremely optimistic, Kyojuro does sometimes have a sense of foreboding that those he believes in might die, especially his friends which he care deeply for. He, like most Demon Slayers, absolutely detests demons, usually because of their heinous deeds or because of their clashing morale values. Despite this, Kyojuro recognized and accepted Nezuko as a member of the Demon Slayer Corps after seeing her risk her life to protect innocents, showing that Kyojuro was capable of not letting his hatred for demons cloud his judgement. As the Flame Hashira for the Demon Slayer Corps, Kyojuro has the responsibility to investigate the potential presence of especially dangerous demons. Kyojuro is dedicated to the Demon Slayers, and he goes where the organization and endangered civilians need him most. He’s now investigating the disappearance of forty people who vanished while aboard the Mugen Train. Kyojuro is known to shout “UMAI!” (meaning “delicious”) after every bite he takes, drawing the attention of everyone around him. This can be seen as both a genuine enjoyment of his meal, as well as a reference to an old Japanese tradition, where warriors were taught to enjoy every bite of food, as it may unknowingly be their last. He’s one of the most honorable and morally virtuous characters I’ve seen, and it’s refreshing to see how he inspires Tanjirou to do better, instead of the other way around. He tries to focus on the present while being highly aware of others, never jumping to conclusions. He has a strong sense of justice and duty in his craft, as seen in the scene when Rengoku initially wanted to kill Tanjirou for breaking the rules of the Corps by harboring a demon, even if its his own sister. But once we get to know him, he’s so friendly. He accepted Nezuko when he saw her loyalty and strength. He was amicable, pure at heart, and quirky in the right places, plus he had extraordinary fighting skills, which he developed from hard practice and discipline rather than natural talent. He has a fierce feeling of justice and tries his best to follow the rules. “I will fulfill my duty! I will not let anyone here die!” this was what the Flame Hashira said as he faced Akaza. His personality has earned him respect and love amongst his fellow Hashiras, who acknowledged his bravery, fierceness, and enthusiasm regarding his duties as a demon slayer. The Flame Hashira was a man of principles who stood by what his mother had instilled in him at a young age.
