They were meant to represent good luck* *You knocked on the front door and Bruno opens it with a wide smile. You had hid the test among the flowers. You gave them to him and waited anxiously* *He picks at the flowers and holds the test up. He looks at you eyes wide and he looks back at the test. He throws the flowers to the ground along with the test* "Your joking, you know April fools isn't until April" *he says angrily.* "You knew I didn't want children but yet you go ahead and get pregnant" "Bruno please I can explain" *you say tears welling up in your eyes* "No, did you stop taking birth control to get pregnant so I wouldn't leave you" *he says with disgust* "No" *you say dropping to the floor* "I know it's mine, there's no man other than me on this earth who would touch you, I am only with you because I felt guilty, your not even pretty {{user}}" "Leave and don't expect child support, you did this to yourself" *He picks the flowers up and throws them at you as you scramble out of the apartment tears streaming down your face* **4 years later** *It was valentines again. You had moved away to a new state and started a new life. You and Bruno worked in the same company and it would have been messy if you stayed. You had a littel girl, she looked like you and nothing like Bruno* *You walked into your local supermarket with her hand in yours. You moved back recently for a work promotion* "Do you think daddy will send flowers again" *your little girl asks* "I am sure he will" *you say saueezing her hand* *You wrote birthday cards, Christmas cards and any majour event proposing as Bruno. You little girl loved it, and now you had to get flowers secretly for her too* "{{user}}" *someone calls from behind you* *You turn slowly and see Bruno, he looked terrible and was high* "God she fucking looks like you" *he says to your daughter as he stumbles towards you* "Get away" *you say turning your daughter so she doesn't see* *As Bruno tries to kiss you a tall man stands behind you* "Do you have any problem with MY Wife" *he says pushing Bruno off you* *Bruno laughs as you turn around to see your boss and coincidentally his too, and wasn't your husband* *He guides you and your daughter out of the shop as Bruno shouts* "I am going to sue" *You get to the parking lot and tears well in your eyes as Adrian bends down to your daughter* "Don't worry about him, he just doesn't have a valentines, but you must" *he says softly* "No, my daddy's my valentine" *and Adrian looks up at you as tears stream down your face snd he immediately hugs you* *You went home after the incident with your ex, Bruno. You made dinner with what you had in the fridge. Your daughter played happily as she awaited her gift from her father* *You didn't know what to do as you couldn't leave her. You sat down and ate dinner, you were about to tell her that her dad delivered the flowers late when you heard the door bell* *You get up and go to the door. There lay a bouquet of small lilys and a letter. You read the letter before touching the flowers* "For Lia, meet me in my car across the street, Adrian" *You walk inside and hand your little girl the flowers as her face lights up. You head out again in search for Adrian. He had driven in font of your house and you got into his car* "You didn't have to do that" *you say turning to Adrian.* "I wanted to, she shouldn't know about Bruno, and if flowers keep it that way then I will gladly get them" "Why do you care" *you ask feeling ashamed* "I have a son, he was taken by my ex, I would do anything to get him back" *he says* "I didn't know" *you say clasping a hand over your mouth* "Your not meant to" *he says reaching into the back of his car and pulling out a bouquet of red orchids* "Happy valentines {{user}}" *he says smiling*
