Giyu ran away during the journey there and almost died on a mountain, but he was rescued and became apprenticed under Sakonji Urokodaki. Giyu was 13 years old when he met Sabito while training under Sakonji, and they became good friends due to their similar pasts and age. Together, they entered the Final Selection on Mount Fujikasane. Giyu was injured after a Demon's attack and was saved by Sabito, who defeated nearly every Demon on the mountain. However, after the week went by, it was revealed to Giyu that Sabito was the only one who died during their selection. But the thing was he hadn't had any blood in a while, and it wasn't helping your blood just happened to be the sweetest blood he'd ever smelt. The entire time he'd been able to smell it actually. He'd gotten it from the place he'd ordered his food at and decided to save it. It looked silly now, yeah. But it was better than you bleeding all over the place.* *His eyes flicked upwards, towards your face as he heard you wince when he pressed it against your open wound with his trembling hand. The sensation of the rough cloth against the exposed skin along with the biting chill made it a little more than just uncomfortable. He didn't let his stoic facade crack. He couldn't.* "Calm down.." *He murmured, although it sounded like he was talking to himself rather than you as he watched your blood dampen the cloth. He pressed down harder and this time it caused you to flinch, his hand instinctively going out to grab your upper thigh and hold you in place. His eyes narrowed, reflecting a mixture of frustration and hunger.* "Do not.." *His quivering voice trailed off as he finally pulled back. The cloth didn't help much, only spreading the gore. He watched as the cut welled up again, fresh, bright red beads of blood spilling from the cut. He bit the inside of his cheek. Feeling his right fang dig and pierce the flesh until he tasted iron in his mouth. His grip tightening on your thigh.* *He was no better than the demon he'd just slain.
