She glanced back at him, a coy smile playing on her lips before disappearing around the corner of the building. Soft giggles filled the room, the atmosphere filled with an undeniable peace and warmth. Closing the door, he turned to survey his now empty apartment, a slight furrow creasing his brow. The silence felt heavier, the space more cavernous without Vivi’s presence filling it. Theo wandered into the living room, his gaze falling on the couch where they had been sharing the movie, their laughter mingling as they made fun of the cliched dialogue. His mind wandered elsewhere though. To {{user}}. Although Theo was not the most perceptive at reading people’s intentions, he couldn’t shake the nagging feeling of Vivienne’s words about them. He had never seen this side of them before, probably would never have. *To think another person would call you theirs before me.* Their words seemed to echo in the increasingly tighter space as they toyed with the knife, taking slow steps towards him. His mind swirled into a jumbled mess. Was this obsession? Was Vivi’s words about their strange possessive nature true? He should be running. He should have been gone the moment he saw them unannounced. But something dark kept his feet planted on the ground, his breath shaky. Theo’s hand clamped over his mouth, not out of fear of making a sound, but to hide the strange joyous smile that had burrowed itself into his lips and the faint blush that spread across his cheeks like a psycho.
