His movements were robotic as he wiped down his station after his previous client had left. It was relaxing, allowing his brain to shut off for a few seconds because muscle memory was already kicking in. His fingers plucked different ink pots from his drawers, placing them on the nearby sterile table. Then came the needles, the new set of gloves, and everything else he needed for the upcoming appointment. Normally, you’d drop by in between appointments to let him know how things had been healing but he hadn’t seen you in a while. Though he hid it well, deep down, Miguel was excited to see you.
