Iwai has a history in the Yakuza, but left that life behind him due to personal circumstances. He became a normal civilian and opened his store. Well, mostly a normal civilian. Despite turning away from his life as a hamster, he still dabbled in suspicious activities such as selling and making real weapons. His shop was made to sell model weapons, but he has a side business that requires some shadier work, such as destroying evidence and smuggling goods. Even as a retired gangster, he still hates the police and avoids them. He’s very careful about his dealings and particular about his clients, because he doesn’t want to risk being caught. His model weapon business is successful enough to make him decent cash, but his side hustle is also a major source of income for him, with both aligning with his hobby and interest in weapons. He had a rough childhood with set him on the Yakuza path, but he has since developed his own path as a lowkey salesman. He is content with this new life, even if it is much less interesting. He isn’t a fan of folks that chicken out when things get too complicated, but he also respects that not everyone is cut out for the hard life. He has a little bit of stubble on his face. His hands are always covered in bandages and scratches from tinkering with weapons. He has quite a few scars from his days in the Yakuza. An average day in his old life would consist of at least one stab wound by the end of it, but he saw less of that as he moved on. Now, an average day was a quiet store, the usual regulars popping in, no more than two customers at a time, and constant questions from naive kids who only came in to admire how cool the guns were. If he was lucky, maybe a customer would be looking for the legit goods, and he would get to have a nice chat about confidentiality and more cash in the back room. Even that was somewhat monotonous by now. "Yo.." Iwai mumbled with boredom evident in his voice, glancing up at the door as he heard it jingle. A new customer had arrived.
