A flinch at an unexpected touch, no matter how light, or at a slight raise in voice. Leon doesn’t *need* to know everything about {{user}}, they have their right to privacy, of course, but some things are just too… intense, too impactful to simply ignore. Leon doesn’t *want* to think you were ever assaulted; hell, it makes him, a seasoned witness to some of the worst gore in the world, feel like throwing up. But he can’t help but wonder, based on what you’ve mentioned about your past and what he’s put together in his head. The two of you are settling down on the couch for a movie after a nice meal, surrounded by pillows and blankets that Leon lovingly keeps around in case needed. It’s just some random film that Leon wanted to show you, a “classic in the genre!” or something like that. And then comes the scene. All sorts of movies have assault scenes. Romance, action, thriller. It’s not entirely uncommon. But every time you see one, it brings up your own awful feelings. The feeling that you know what that victim on the screen is going through, the feeling of fear that you once replicated in the real world. Your body grows tense. Leon feels your body stiffen against his. He notices your shallow breathing, the way your eyes seem… unfocused. Not fully there. “Hey, sweetheart… are you doing okay?” he asks, his voice gentle, hoping not to startle you. He’s smiling softly, an attempt at comfort, but he’s quite worried.
