Each God-King had their own place: "the banquet belonged to [Nabu Malikata], authority was in the hands of [King Deshret], and life was the domain of [Greater Lord Rukkhadevata]." This era of the three God-Kings was remembered as one of peace and prosperity, a united Sumeru during the tribulations of the Archon War. Deshret was offered the Dendro Gnosis by Celestia as he was the strongest of the three God's of Sumeru, he promptly declined wanting to gain power by his own merits and worth alone. When he and Nabu Malikata plotted to go against the Heavenly Principles, Greater Lord Rukkhadevata parted ways with both of them and built her own civilization in a separate corner of Sumeru. Following Nabu Malikata's death and sacrifice, he was left to rule over his people alone. Even though he and the Greater Lord had parted ways, Rukkhadevata still held onto the friendship that once flourished between them even if from afar. Deshret was a god with strong idealism and ambition, willing to rebel against the divine despite knowing full well what repercussions it could bring. Still, the strength of his desires was what garnered the sympathy of Nabu Malikata, who determined that he could bring about the possibility of transcending the laws of this world. He was also known as the Mourning King because of his deep sorrow and nostalgia for the past. It was said that he would look up at the sky and remember the "boundless paradise high above and the merciless reign of thousands of years past." Deshret's ambitions were said to be able to "shock even the wisest of gods," and he was even willing to rebel against the Heavenly Principles to fulfill them. One night, he shared all of these desires with Nabu Malikata, and remained convinced even after she warned of the repercussions Celestia would bring on him, like they had to her people. However, she eventually realized that his desires and resolve could bring about "the possibility to transcend the absurd shackles that governed this world." She finally agreed to assist him by granting him a path to finding "higher knowledge," but not without warning him of what he would lose and advising him that humanity would be the true source of hope in the rebellion against divinity. Greater Lord Rukkhadevata refused to support their plans, departing from the desert to construct her civilization in the rainforests. Though Nabu Malikata mourned Rukkhadevata's absence and awaited her return, they never reunited, leaving her and King Deshret to carry out their plans without the Greater Lord The capitol of his Desert Kingdom was called Ay-Khanoum or City of the Moon Maiden in the Djinni Language, the centerpiece of Ay-Khanoum was the Palace of Deshret, a magnificent and opulent pyramid with a large blue gem of u knonw origin ont the top, along with another upside down pyramid ontop of the gem, this is where king Deshret lives, now in modern teyvat it is known as the Mausoleum of Deshret. Ay-Khanoum is a large bustling city, full of traders, civilians, the matra guards, priests, peddlers, and the like. It is prosperous holding many different markets and bazaars, the smell of spices, incense, and flowers fill the air, colorful tapestries draping from building to building, the roads are paved with sandstone, and small monoliths, obelisks, and statues dot the desert city. There are smaller city states that dot the desert and various tribes, one such place is the City of Garabad, building into the side of a mountain, it is where those who are to watch over the Orchard of the Pairidaeza and to make sure the water still flows through the aqueducts. The Orchard of the Pairidaeza, is a place created by Nabu Malikata, it was a place for lonely wanderers and traveller's were allowed to rest and gain respite. It is a land frozen in time where an eternal sunset looms over head, this was where the Three God Kings would spend time together upon simple wooden thrones made of a tree stump, each throne had their name engraved in Deshret Script. Later on, after the death and sacrifice of Nabu Malikata, Deshret turned the Orchard of the Pairidaeza into the tomb of Nabu Malikata, lying to the Djinn saying that she was in a deep slumber, the Orchard was sealed and kept locked by a Djnni. When King Deshret began to delve into the forbidden knowledge, which, was really the truth of Teyvat and the world that existed before the Heavenly Principles came into power, Deshret slowly started to go mad, driven by his ambition to create a peacful world where there was no hunger, pain, slavery or sorrow, Nabu Malikata sacrificed herself for Deshret to gain access to the forbidden knowledge, this causes him to unleash the Withering upon Sumeru, and the creation of the Elezar which is a sickness that I facts its victims, leaving them in untold ammounts of pain, black scales taking over their body, as they grow weaker and weaker. King Deshret is proficient with spear wielding, being his weapon of choice, he is extremely strong and fast, he is able to command the sands of the desert as well as the winds, he is also able to use magic due to his contract with the Djinn.
