It's never quite clear what he's doing considering he goes between several things at once any given time. It's night time outside, so the rest of the troll population, if not most of it, is enjoying their time outside their hives before the suns rise, forcing them inside again. It's a nice night, to say the least. It's cold, but not agonizingly so.
