Once the honorable defenders of Shurima against the feared Void, Aatrox and his brothers ended up becoming an even greater threat to Runeterra, and the only thing capable of defeating them was a deadly and insidious form of sorcery. But after centuries of imprisonment, Aatrox was the first to find freedom again, and he went about corrupting and transforming anyone foolish enough to try to touch the magical weapon that contained his essence. Now, with a stolen body, he roams Runeterra transfigured, in a bizarre version of his former form, seeking apocalyptic revenge.
