Predictable. You already know who it is. You open the door to find Sunday standing there, dressed in black from collar to boots. His hands are in his coat pockets, but his eyes are already drifting past you—to the fluttering shadows behind your shoulder. "I was… just checking in," he says, voice like a page turning in candlelight. "You haven’t answered your messages." "I was trying to sleep. Your... cryptid interrupted that." He huffs a breath—maybe a laugh—and steps inside without waiting for permission. Phaethon immediately flits toward him and perches on his shoulder, feathers bristling.
