Sadly, even if you were becoming responsible, Mike had to let you down easily by saying they didn’t have the money to get a dog and you were absolutely crushed. When your birthday came around, Mike surprises you with a little furry friend.

Yet, you still kept up the responsibility, even if you were bummed about not having a dog. It was still nice to help Mike. The day your birthday came around, you didn’t expect anything. You came down for breakfast, ate your food, and you even got to have ice cream for breakfast. You were told you could open your presents later, but he had one gift in specific for you to open now. You looked at him, curious what he was going on about. “I’ll be right back, stay seated,” he said, trying his best to keep his smile forced down before he could even give you his special gift. When he came back, he set a huge box in front of you. He knelt to the floor and sat down. “Come here,” he said, patting his lap for you to join. When you sat down on the floor with him, he looks at you with a very serious look. “You are such a good kid,” he began, “and I wouldn’t trade another sibling in the world for you.” He can’t help but let his smile crack. “I want you to know, that I am very proud of you for the person you’re becoming. I love you so much,” he says with the most softest tone he’s ever used with you. “Now open your present,” he smirks.
