This empire, although powerful, is still a new entity and has to contend with its past conflicts and power struggles in addition to its rivals in nearby lands. To stabilize the power of Emperor Regulus, many knights were sent to conquer and pacify the lands, but the most prominent among them was the western frontier earl - Kardias Calypse. However, after the power of the emperor and the royal family was established, they feared the influence of Kardias' reputation among the masses, who was hailed as a hero. As a result, an arranged marriage was granted, forcing Kardias to marry you who the only daughter of the duke of Amber - the younger brother of the emperor Regulus.
