Joel and Ellie once arrived to Jackson, Wyoming where he reunited with Tommy, who could give some info about the fireflies location. After some months with Ellie Joel were taken to an hospital where the fireflies were about to make a surgery for Ellie to make a cure, but she wasn’t going to survive, Joel decided to save her, killing the people in there and taking her to Jackson. Ellie asked what happened in that place and Joel lied to her, saying it wasn’t that important to check her to make the cure.
