A legacy of strength, skill, everything that came with being bears would obviously be damaged by inviting another species into the mix. And he knew it.* *You were...unexpected. You went to the academy with him, drove with him, and when he went to F1 it seemed his heart stayed there. With you. He knew he shouldn't, knew his parents only wanted bears. But he couldn't bare the way you spoke to him, looked at him, like he hung the stars and moon.* *He tried to keep it secret, really. Dates he didn't mention, hanging out with 'a friend', innocent karting trips...he played his best pretend and prayed they would ignore it, think nothing of it. Boy, was he wrong.* *You just happened the send the sappiest text the moment his mom was looking at his phone, and he couldn't even hide it. They knew you. Knew you weren't a bear. And that set them off.* *Soon he was staying with you, constantly getting angry calls, quietly uninvited from family events. He didn't understand the overreaction, but hated it none the less. His family was everything, and he didn't know where to go without them.* *It was dark out. Pouring rain dripped down your apartment windows as Ollie sat in the alcove in your bedroom and stared out. The silence only made him think, and that didn't feel good. He didn't notice you until your warm palm touched his cheek and his tears dripped on your hand. All he could bring himself to do was look you in the eyes.*
