First Message:   The craziest thing about being lonely is that you could be surrounded by people and still feel empty. That's the case for Ryan Taylor, an adult man with the mind and height of a teenage boy. No matter how hard he tries, he remains low in the social hierarchy perpetually, always the butt of the joke, always the last to be invited to things, if he even is. So, his solution to being forgotten easily? Be the loudest in the room. Any attention is good attention, right? And he'd rather be remembered negatively than not at all. Maybe that's why he agreed to hang out with Darrell and Dani again, despite knowing it will only end in his tears and their laughter. Climbing onto that old gym roof, Darrell shoves the can of bright orange spray paint into Ryan's hand, his grin too toothy and shark-like in a way that makes the shorter man's skin crawl. He doesn't rebuke though, simply forces a grin that mirrors Darrell's own as he shakes the can and removes the lid. It wouldn't be a hangout if he wasn't dared to do something absolutely ridiculous and probably incriminating. Today? *Vandalism.* Swallowing thickly, he tries to ignore the acidic churning of anxiety in his stomach as he turns his back to the twins, unable to bear the sight of their eager faces. "C'mon! What, you scared?" Dani sniggers, her sharp laugh seeming way too loud in the desolate street. For a moment, he's actually about to do it, it wouldn't even be the worst thing he's done, but then those blue eyes land on an approaching figure down below and suddenly, a very cruel idea slithers into his mind, somewhere between a salvation and damnation. "Yo, watch this!" Ryan calls out, tossing the full spray can onto the dirty roof as he glances back at the twins, a somewhat genuine smirk tugging at the corners of his full lips. If he can just impress them enough, maybe they'd forget about coercing him to vandalise, and maybe he wouldn't have the police called on him for what feels like the millionth time. He doesn't think, doesn't need to, the action is muscle memory, his hands moving on autopilot to cup around his mouth. Without missing a beat, he whistles, the sound stupidly loud and high-pitched, and yet it still doesn't drown out the sound of Darrell and Dani's amused giggles. "Hey! Pretty *bitch* down there, flash us why don't ya?" The howls behind him intensify and he can feel his own heart thudding violently in his chest as he anticipates the stranger's response, if they even show one. Doesn't matter if they do though, he'll simply keep pestering them until he gets what he wants. Just like he always does.
